My thoughts exactly certain things that are essential to our everyday lives should be exempt from the influence of party politics, national and local.
I totally agree. In fact I'd be happy if basic services, NHS, rail, transport, etc, were all ring fenced so lunatics like Johnson can't suddenly decide to build Nightingale hospitals when there are no staff for them, spend vast sums on useless PPE and ignore striking nurses many of whom are leaving their calling.
Spot on mate...it's all short term knee jerk nonsense, which needs replacing with a long term approach.
Chris Bryant on Politics Live saying Labour will pursue the fraudulent ppe contracts. Good to hear as the corrupt tories have tried to bat it into the long grass.
Impossible to say that imo ... ... they might've done even worse. But I doubt they'd have so blatantly used so many deaths as a means to line the pockets of their mates.
We, as a result of him and his hateful rich friends, are in the same bed as the dictators. He is trying to make people hate vulnerable people for power and wealth. It’s heartbreaking what England has become and there are apologists on this thread.
I was watching a documentary about a fella in pre-war Germany who started off as chancellor then became the leader ... ... he decided it was best that his government ignored the laws of the land and all human rights. Dunno how it all panned out but he was obsessed with deporting people to camps like the one in Rwanda ... ... second episode tonight
An inevitable consequence of opposition for opposition's sake. When this gets overturned, we'll not be far away from putting immigrants in camps. And when the screaming starts about that, remember how much was proposed and refused before we got to this.
