salah and nunez made this a tough game by not putting the ball away. Michael Oliver is desperate to rule our goals out and hooper wants our players injured. p-****ung-gmol.
It's easy to be frustrated that we squandered a few chances and didn't look our best... But we never looked like losing either and it's a clean sheet.
Sure we can all say 'Poor match' etc. But lets not forget that Sheffield Utd were set up with 9 men behind the ball with a couple of runners upfront. Difficult to play against that sort of team, who only want to stop the opposition and then lump it forward.
Away from home v promoted sides been our downfall last few years so nice just to grind out a win when not at our best. Dno if it was the pitch or just the weather and camera but looked a tough one to try knock it around nicely. add in new manager and nothing to really lose by sitting behind the ball and trying to hit on counter. Sheff United have and will get hammered by more teams this year but most teams in league if they want to sit in for 90 mins then they’re tactically good enough to do that. Sometimes you need a mistake or piece of genius to open the game up, for us it’s another one from set piece
I expect Sheff U to play like that for the rest of the season. Classic Wilder. Problem for them this time round is that they don't have the forwards to steal games.
Not the best of games, but a win is a win. Good point I thought Endo had a solid game, bad points Gomez was awful and Konate was caught out a few times.
Yeah, and Wilders return gave Sheff U fighting spirit and defensive organisation. That's a decent result everything considered
Harsh on Gomez. Didn’t think was too bad but he’s not a full back especislly not a lb in our team with TAA coming inside as just closes off all the width.
Just rewatched Klopp's interview as was only half listening first time round. Klopp really went in on the Amazon pundit for joking about us playing matches at 12:30
He said to Klopp after the comment 'sorry I didn't mean to be disrespectful' and Klopp said 'you already have been'.
