The amount of innocuous injuries we get in training is really quite something. Very rarely get them during games either!
Love travelling but I wouldn't fancy living somewhere where I don't know anyone or speak the language. West Yorkshire when your family and mates are in East Yorkshire is bad enough!
Updated... Ruben Vinagre - Out until end December. Doğukan Sinik - Out until he leaves (probably) Adama Traoré - Back in training, will be assessed ahead of Rotherham, probably back for Watford. Regan Slater - Hopefully back for Watford.
Ruben Vinagre making good progress from his hamstring injury. Won’t be in contention this weekend but ahead of schedule. No other worries.
How many millions have we wasted on Sinik? Acun needs to stop with these Turkish signings, I get it he wants to show off Turkish talent to the world but all 3 Turkish signings have been crap.
Lokilo, Seri, Traore and Oscar all played in Turkey and got on our owners radar because of it. It's not just Tufan, Sinik and Allahyar (who's Iranian anyway) who have come on a route via Turkey. We seem to be looking at the ex Wednesday kid out of Turkey at the moment. I'd argue that Seri, Tufan, Traore, Oscar and Lokilo haven't been crap - even Ali has had his moments, but there does seem to be a shift towards identifying players which will fit the style and a less scattergun approach. Which is welcome.
I meant the the Turkish players specifically, I forgot Allahyar isn’t Turkish No issue with them using their links in that league but the Sinik and Tufan transfers were definitely ego transfers and an expensive mistake
I think that’s harsh on Tufan, he’s had non-footballing issues to deal with this season and he adds quality to the squad. We’re a better team when he plays, in my opinion. He’s just a bit out of form at the moment, which is understandable given that the current first XI seems to now be settled upon.
I think there was something back in Türkiye that meant he wasn’t right to train or take part, it was after the first international break I think.
