Allan was one of the best type of people. Family man, loyal friend. A politically driven man but never greedy or selfish, his politics revolved around the betterment of mankind. He had great taste in music and would do anything in his power to help anybody. Easy to talk too, warm friendly and open. I'm devistated with this news. I hadn't seen him in ages due to having to pay for a wedding and grafting every Saturday. I bought a ticket for the Leeds game and as usual I bought one close to Allan. Match day is never gonna be the same again for me. Gutted he won't be there and that he won't make my wedding. He would have loved my lady and visa versa. Deepest heart felt condolences to his family and friends. One can only imagine the empty space that's going to be left in his passing. RIP Allan. Awful to hear. I never met him but he was marvellous value on here. His illness was mentioned once that I can remember, but he never whinged about it on here. God Bless and RIP. Struggles are over.
Or in real life mate. I went to see him, at his new home when the Railway Club closed ... the New Railway Club He was the same lovely lad, surrounded by a dozen mates, he always was. ... some of whom I knew through Al. I gave him a hug and hoyed a twenty on the table for a drink because I didn't want to barge into his day with the lads. I could tell he knew why I'd come, said hello and left ... he was that kind of lad.
After various people have kindly asked about flowers for Allan, and how to contribute, posters have been talking. Gordon Armstrong, myself, etc, thought a crowd funding page, which is secure and safe, would be best. The funeral arrangements will be posted on here and details of the amount pledged, flowers sent, etc. There's no obligation to send money, there'll be plenty, this is just a gesture. Allan Crago - thanks for being part of our lives - a Personal Causes crowdfunding project in Sunderland by Friends of MR RAWHITE (crowdfunder.co.uk) The target was £73 and it's already £90, a great effort as expected.
That's a great message Tees and just what I'd expect from a lad like you. As someone who knows Allan please keep us posted about funeral arrangements so anyone who wants to be there can attend. I'll be there.
Terrible news and such a loss to this forum. We've had Fr Mark's prayers for SAFC, we've had The Pope's blessings and still we're stuck in The Championship, so have a few words for us with God, tell him we need his help to overcome the evils of State Sportswashing! Rest in piss taking fella you taught us all that, laughter is definitely the best of medicines! My prayers and heartfelt condolences to his family friends and all on here who knew him.
Condolences to all his friends and family. He'll be missed on this board and i'm sure in real life. R.I.P. MrRAWhite
Thankyou mate. Yes of course , ive messaged his son so as soon as i hear something ill post it on here.
Rest in peace you lovely man and thanks for being there, we lose the other side wins but they will be blessed by your presence, I'm not far behind ya, get the beers in and have a banter with Lollie.. One of the most genuine life could offer, Allan you are and were an absolute gem.. love ya
Lovely photos mate, really brings a tear to my eye ... ... as if I haven't cried enough today. Great to see Lollie on here again, brings back memories.
RIP RAW I didn’t know you in real life but you’re a legend on here and your memory will live on in the thread in your name. You’re certainly a person I would have loved to have had a pint with before a match.
This thread and them comments speaks volumes in how much of a great bloke he was and how big a miss he's going to be to the SAFC family.
Have been away from here for a few days and just catching up. Awful, tragic news. RIP Allan, thoughts with his family and friends.
Nice one. Bloody hard when good ones are gone early. Been to three myself this year, all well younger than me and all superb blokes. All of them had to fight like RAW too , but they're not fighting now at least.
RIP Allan. Condolences to his family and friends. Didn't know him but a canny poster on here and will be sadly missed.
