Beth, I am not here for petty insults. If you have some footballing matter to discuss with me, please do so. Otherwise, don't bother.
Sorry? You're not here for petty insults? That's all you post, you hypocritical little ****e. Fortunately, the only opinions (and ratings) that people here care about are those from real QPR fans, not annoying little sods like you. when you grow up, you'll realise that winding people up from your cosy little room doesn't equate to a real life. Until then, you have our pity. Not going to allow you the snide little pleasure of derailing yet another thread though - so bye bye - you're on ignore. Back to the real thread - the decision not to give the penalty against Barton is simply luck evening itself out. Remember the penalty awarded against Traore for Villa? No way on earth was that a penalty, but it was given and cost us. We've simply got those lost points back.
he's at his best position thats centre midield & no disrespect to derry but we've got better, glad we signed him up & were prepared to take a chance with him were others have gone on his reputation & said no thanks, well done neil for taking a chance.
Don't believe those stats at all source please his cross for the goal was outstanding and I am not judging him off the field or for his past ... It's for his footballing ability . On average when I played you would run 6 miles minimum in midfield . I will stand fully corrected when I am convinced and tbh he is playing better but he is not the wonder player he thinks he his I do not hate him I do not rate him
You’re right, Neil did take a chance on Barton because of his reputation and reputation alone. It’s not a chance when he is a good experienced Prem midfielder. I’m sure he will do something a little bit crazy down the road and that will enrage people; but as far as I’m concerned, whatever that crazy thing is, unless its shooting a bazooka at a bus full of people or runs over Pele by mistake, I wouldn’t care. The guys like Balotelli, he adds spice to proceedings AND is currently playing well. The real risk is that the PC brigade squeeze the life out of everything that is fun in this life. One request though, Joey, if you’re reading this, please pop round to BBC studios and give Alan Shearer a slap round the face with a wet fish. The man never has anything positive to say about QPR. At least now Derry can show off his whopping great tash that he’s grown on MOTD when we play Norwich. Now that is sex on legs
From what you've said before (which contains much that I don't believe) you've never played in a game that is included in the OPTA stats, so how would you know how much you run? You're letting your personal bias against Joey Barton cloud your vision. He's a far better player than you give him credit for, a far better player than we had last season (including Adel), and a far better player than I thought we'd be able to attract to the club this season. If you are really judging him on his football ability, you'd be far more gracious than your posts suggest.
Great thread Willy, agree with everything you've said here. I'm really pleased we have a player of his calibre playing for us. When I think of some of the awful dross I've watched over the last 15 years...
No Opta of course but it was common sport science even then . On average during 90 minutes a midfielder or attacker can cover 6 miles . My best mates lad has just signed for Brighton on 2 years at 17 he covers close to 7 . Will I know my stuff and Barton is a great name and I am not clouded at all he may grow into the job and we are benefitting but that a collective team spirit . Off the pitch who can say he hasn't improved he has but that's not the point . His overall play at times is sloppy and I do not believe he can tackle he seems to mistime them too often . His crossing is great but sorry he doesn't drive the game enough for me ... Faurlin pulls our strings and that's even by JB admission himself ... Yet many call Faurlin a donkey ... The majority of managers , players and fans know exactly how good Faurlin is maybe Barton helps out so Ali plays but Derry over the season so far is just as good
After last years horror at Carrow Road anything would be an improvement. At least we won't finish with 9 men - you know what I mean Leon.
