Means nowt really. All it means is some people have bet on him so the bookies are covering their arses. They have no actual intel because that would be illegal

Patrick Vieira creeping up the betting odds. Interesting one.

Feel he did alright to a point and has potential.

Yep. That's wrong, as was partly the reference to Neill. But broadly accurate I'd say.

I don't pressers so I never knew he did that. Has he always did it? Seems disrespectful to me that. They are just journos, good or bad, but just doing a job.

I believe someone has said that he’s agreed to come, watched odds come down from 16/1 , bet against it, cashed out and said he’s made it all up but made a bit money out of it

seen it earlier on twitter but can’t find it now

The timing of late last night was odd. Could it be due to a target informally agreeing to come or a couple confirming they are interested?

Bit early for me. Think he should have been given a bit more time. We have a better points tally than this stage last season and we're only 3 points from the play offs. With us scouting coaches earlier in the season I get the feeling the board were waiting for an excuse.

That said he gave them the excuse. Tactically I've found him weak. Setting up the same way regardless of opponent doesn't work for me. He's publicly blamed strikers despite setting up the same as last season when we had no strikers. He failed to integrate the position into his tactics imo and as a result nobody is playing like they're even there. As talented as our wide players are they hold on to the ball far too long. And the snails pace transition from defence to attack means teams have 10 men behind the ball every attack. But Tony didn't seem to try and change this. Doing the same thing over and over and expecting differant results is mental.

That said I've lost count of the times keepers have pulled off worldies or we've hit the woodwork prior to the last two matches. We could have easily had a bucket of goals, nice point tally and Tony would still have his job.

I do think he's shot himself in the foot but I also think he should have had more time. I think it's harsh, even if he was frustrating the **** out of me.

I’m not sure how I feel about Tony going.
    It’s a bit like Gooch.
I reckon it was coming anyway so at least we have some time before the window to maybe sort some things out.

Tony (like Gooch) can hold his head up and will always be welcome here.
He’s done what he was brought in to do and has left us in a better state than when he arrived but I couldn’t really see him getting us into the Premier and competing there.
KLD and Speakman have been making almost all the right calls and I trust them to get the next one right.

I haven’t a clue who but to those saying Potter will not come, maybe he (Potter) can see the potential here and if he can get Brighton up, just think what he could do with us and our level of support. Maybe he could do a Reidy with top ten finishes and that would be good for him after Chelsea.

More or less what I was thinking. I like TM but he stuck to doing things his way every game, which ultimately cost him his job.

A sad end to a pretty good tenure as the gaffer. We move on.....

    Andrea Pirlo…

No idea if he’s any good as a gaffer but it’s Andrea Pirlo.
