Of course we don't, we have a, b and c. We also have a captain to make on field decisions where clarity is required . Don't see what the obsession is in being so prescriptive. There was nothing wrong with Jaden taking it. Any player can miss a pen.
If he wasn't, then was anyone practicing pens? Stop desperately looking for someone to blame. 1 in 5 or 6 pens get missed. **** happens.
I doubt we'll see him hit as bad a pen again, I actually think we'll see a much better player from it and a bit of an off game on sat, as counter productive as it sounds, young players that are flying sometimes need a poor game to focus their minds again, then they come back even stronger.
1 in 4 apparently. It wasn't even that bad a penalty, it was in the bottom corner, the keeper just went the right way.
Bottom corner is a push, it was more to the middle of that half of the goal and not really powerful, from a keepers POV it's what you want from a pen. Keeper still has to do his job though as it was on target.... He'll learn from it and he/us will be better for it.
Still a 1 in 3 guess from Hamer. They still go in more often than not. Not saying he couldn't have struck it better, but both the pen miss and the lob required a big slice of luck as well as judgment on Watfords part.
Had a horrible feeling when he did the tentative stuttering run up.... I have absolutely no experience and speak with no knowledge what so ever. But from watching a few over the years Pick your spot Make the decision And hit it there. Penalties just keep it simple. Oh yes and try and hit the target
Delap should have taken it. Simply hit it centrally into the roof of the net as hard as possible a la Alan Shearer. Keeper will invariably dive left or right. Always worked for me.
Surely the ‘try to hit the target’ bit is the same as ‘pick your spot’…unless some England players used to pick a spot a few yards over the crossbar of course?
Wasn't mentioned by Rosenior as a pen taker. He mentioned Tufan, Twine and Jaden. Have you seen Delap strike a dead ball? I haven't so couldn't say either way.

Going purely on Delaps power, accuracy and confidence. If the keeper gets anything on it he’s not going to stop it.
Delap's taken five penalties in his career and missed two of them (two of the three he scored were in international friendlies).
For me.... Rosenior was ready to bring on Tufan and Slater (64 minutes)... the pen was missed on 60 minutes. Had I been the manager, I'd have had Tufan (ready) on at 60 and let him take the penalty...
So you'd have a player stripped and warming up all game running up and down the line on the off-chance we got a pen? Get a grip.
