The survey has dropped for new stadium/expanding SJP. Covers everything from additional facilities people want, to how much people are willing to pay more for it.
There was objections 20 years ago and a group called friends of Leazes Park created, even they've suggested they'd be open to discussions now. I'll be honest the questions asked in survey seemed to be more about a new stadium in the city centre than expanding SJP. Was loads of stuff like how much more in % would you pay on season ticket with new stadium? what sort of food and beverages would you like to see in new stadium? how early would you arrive to the ground with a new stadium? would you come to watch none football events like concerts and boxing in a new stadium? Was still a bit about expanding SJP and what improvements people would like to see in an expanded SJP if its possible.

I don't think it makes financial sense to expand St James Park, but I'd prefer it because its part of why Newcastle do well at home.. the stands so close to the pitch.
Just think, they could build it with a load of shops and we could spend more time getting you lashed up before every game. Could even be like, lash bars, tanning salons. You could be there HOURS before. Handily located “resting” ditches. Could be everything you need in the Leazes Park Mustard Mall.
The bigger and better the more tears we can drink. Once the plans are revealed it will send another shudder down our haters spines.
Thought it was pretty well balanced to be fair to them - plenty on improving the stadium and a new stadium. Personally I'd prefer improving the current ground but (despite being horrendously negative towards a new stadium on the survey) I'd not be shy about moving stadium - the demand is there for a big, shiny, new, huge capacity stadium and as long as it benefitted the City I'd be all for it really.
Long story short - Would you pay more for nicer facilities, and if there was more choice in the stadium would you stay and use them before and after games. Unless they are setting up Blue Velvet in there I'm not convinced I'd arrive/stay longer and pay more for it. Some questions said assuming its the same price as outside the ground etc. but the thing is it will only be "new" for so long and once the excitement about it being new has worn off will the prices come down? Like **** they will...
