It could be argued that TM did himself no favours by constantly chopping and changing the forward line. His substitutions didn't help him either, nor did his unwavering devotion to Luke O'Nien. People might say "KS did him no favours" but he knew the club's philosophy when he came in and he accepted it.
Young kid, on loan from Chelsea demands to see the Sporting Director to complain about the manager? Seems unlikely
Ok. Young kid, on loan from Chelsea asks nicely, with his hand up in the air like a primary school pupil to see the Sporting Director to complain about the manager? Seems unlikely
I wanted Mobray out as soon as he started with the snide comments about strikers etc when the window was open, he’s not daft and he was playing up to that and using it as an excuse for his lack of plan b imo
You don't get sacked for a few subs being wrong, which they weren't on Saturday actually. Loads can be said and will already have been. But, if they don't have a bloke lined up ready, ( and a better one, that's always the hard bit), then it is frankly a stupid decision. We are nearly halfway through the season, three points off top six, and still not one goal from a CF. We looked way better without one on Saturday. He's only picked Dack as a buy I believe, which might not have done him favours, but none of the CFs, with the possible exception of Rusyn look even remotely near championship level. An old festering sore that has not been treated. It's alright having this long term vision, but when every coach or manager gets about a year or so, the long term coach needed might just think he should go somewhere else.
Just speculating because I have no idea if it’s true but if I was Burstow and I felt like I was being publicly blamed for the lack of goals constantly when I’m getting f**k all service I’d not be happy to be fair so I don’t think it’s out of the ordinary.
like it’s been said plenty times mate are they ever gonna look up to it when they get hardly any game time and playing in a system that’s not built around them? It’s not like they are missing chance after chance they were living on scraps and all the pressure on them with barely any service.
Still trying to get my head around it all but I'm wondering if this season's form is a fall out from the back end of last when it was rumoured that Mowbray was going to be replaced. Maybe his motivation was not as it was
No-one really, and his subs have been a bit off. But he obviously had credit in the bank, had some great performances this season, was giving a poorish patch, and now gone. As I say, get a better one in and it will be vindicated. We'll see.
Surely that's his job? To find a Plan B? Said this at the match on Weds - there is nothing wrong with playing pretty football, but then occasionally going long, playing a ball over the top or a diag over the full back's head. It doesn't necessarily compromise your values, it just gives the opposition something else to think about. On Weds we played one ball over the top for Mayenda to run on to and the Huddersfield players **** themselves. You can't just sit on your hands and moan about recruitment when Plan A doesn't work
No. But in the case of two of them, Burstow and Semedo, I'd be amazed if they made it. Maybe Mayenda, but down the line. Only Rusyn makes constant runs. That's how you get your chances mostly.
We’ll see how the strikers perform under the new manager. That will tell us who’s right about them. Personally I think it will come good under the right tactics/coachng.
