Look at that 1st and third goals yesterday Personally i think gravenberch was tired on the 3rd one but he gives it away and makes zero effort whatso ever to get it back or chase back. Tsimikas makes zero effrot to block on the right just tucks in a bit on a half run and lets the ball go over. Gomes was only on 10mins? he trots back barely bother to get back in then when the poor corss sails miles over he puts zero effort into getting out quickly to runs the cross. thats not good enough and compounded by tsimikas not getting up at all. Thats what i mean by desire. If i lose it a run like mad to get it back. Only 3 to 5 seconds but thats all it needs. On the first goal you can see the same sort of thing. gravenberch doesn't bother himself with wilson who runs off him. gravenberch even points at the lad. Trent's in the middle lax as you like and never sees the run across the bear post either. they are only compounding the gfit of the ball to fulham in the first place and the lack of an urgent press to win it back. whether you meet up 2 days ago or 4 months ago desire is the no 1 demand. I'll be you the first thing sheff utd do is show that Wednesday night.
I don't necessarily disagree with that, but I personally wasn't happy with what Klopp did at 2-2, so blame the set up at that point. We were starting to struggle a bit, but chose to take off Szob and Mac and throw TAA and Gakpo in the middle instead... It was stupid and we were punished. Very fortunate in the end.
Most teams are telling their LM to sit within five yards of him, it nullifies him unless he wonders over towards the left or higher up the pitch. I think that's why we see him roam so much
I think most sides recognise they have a spare player as there's literally zero threat down our right side. I think they also recognise that if they push quickly at him he cannot turn away and doesn't play on the half turn so he is just passing back. hence the right side cb type role. trent would be better off told to be rcm as an 8 but we already have szobo.
No he can't, he's a right foot and nothing else. He can't defend, track back or in midfield dribble past players. He has a great right foot which is probably the best in the PL and the envy of other players so is worth a place in the team but don't pretend he has anything more.
10mins of every one of trents goals and assists, all 102 of em. https://x.com/Hennes_4/status/1731730230367150497?s=20

I mean that’s wrong. His crossing and passing with his left foot is also very good. And I think he had more take ons v Fulham than any other player so he can move pass players. Obviously dribbling isn’t his strongest point but he can move.
true. I do get the point that we don't really see a lot of players flood the box to get on the end of things and we seem to prefer to either go over the top if theres space or try pass through, but a lot of the goals we are scoring are from crosses, just cut backs or along the ground type crosses. the fact nunez never gets a header is amazing to me honestly. Its a massive strength of his that we are not seeing.
