It's with the greatest regret that one of our most likeable and personable members, RAW, has died.
He's been ill for quite a while and cancer's finally taken him.
The lads on here who knew him personally have been keeping in touch during this time and we knew that he had been struggling a lot recently, and his time has come :emoticon-0101-sadsm

    R.I.P. Allan (one of the real good-uns) . . . . we'll miss you <hug>

Awful news, had the privilege of speaking to him a few times. Top lad, he’ll be a big miss on the forum, and the thread created for him.
He fought it all the way.
    Absolutely gutted.
    Sleep tight Allan.

Never met the man, but had a sense of his personality and how people viewed him. RIP fella. Thoughts with everyone on here grieving and to his family. Hope he is with loads of other lads fans somewhere on a big friendly forum in the sky.

Never met him but had great admiration for his posts. He mentioned that many years ago when I was playing for Ryhope he was at the game where we won the Durham County cup........god bless him and may he rest in peace.....he will be a big miss on this board.

God bless you mate, one of the very best lads I've ever met. A true family man, a wonderful mate and a great supporter.

I enjoyed every minute I ever spent with him and will treasure his memory 'til the day I die.

I'd take your place if I could. I love you Al, you'll be an enormous loss to me and many others.

Feel a big loss even though I never met him. As others have said , you can feel through what people are saying , and the posts he made , that he was a top bloke.
You’ve lost your physical pain now mate , hope watching down on the lads doesn’t give you any more !
