So the reason for the Nunez/Pep altercation emerges. Last time we played each other, Pep got right in Tsimikas' face after Alvarez opened the scoring and said 'how did you like that goal?' Nunez decided to return the compliment asking him how he liked Trent's goal. Pep took objection.
haaland left off by ref. Big arm left there to thump a defender and no action at all. only action is haaland lecturing ref for daring to blow up while he fixes his hair.
spurs really do not believe in running a channel or being available to that ball down the line to help your full back.
No, just further ahead. 1 draw converted to a win and we are top. Luton stands out as awful Brighton was a chance missed as we were ahead and couldn't close it out but they have quality
you think all results should follow the logical outcome and in the example i gave City batter a Spurs team who had lost their last 3 and are missing 10 players just to show they don't oh and it matters not where a team is in the league. Esit: plus City lost to Wolves who were definitely bottom half at the time
but none of that changes the fact that if we beat Luton (a game we should win all day every day and twice on Tuesdays given the quality we have ) we would be top. exactly the same lack of actual desire was on show today again. lads walking back, lack of defensive engagement, passivity. they can attack all day but simply don't seem to have that desire for the work thst delivers titles. 19/20 was all business, you know what I mean? this group of players look like they have all the talent in the world to score but don't look like they really.mean business.
You could easily counter that observation with the amount of comebacks and the commitment/determination that takes. There is no getting away from the fact the midfield 3 today had never even met each other 4 months ago, so I think they can be forgiven for not absolutely walking away with the title after 14 games
they never reach your standards . the only clear one for me was Trent who now doesn't even appear to make a pretence of doing any defensive work
Well he certainly didn't on the Wilson goal. he was at cb and let Wilson just drift there. that's klopps fault for inverting a player to get him on the ball
He did actually do some defensive work in that one i'll grant you but that is the exception these days .
I’m not sure putting Trent into midfield will work ATM even though you know what he is going to do it’s harder to pick him up and therefore helps to give the lad time At RB combatting him is normal I trust Klopp on everything - I do think he maybe a tad sentimental but that’s not the worst thing to be in the world
