After our debacle of reffing spurs were 5 points ahead of us. we are now a live 4 points ahead after 8 more games have been played. more than 1 point per game more than spurs over the period.
ref surrounded. no card from Hooper they are all in on him against the rules. the lino never flagged but grealish looked off. now haaland gets yellow after being let off for an elbow and is continuing to yell dogs abuse at the ref. grealish on a yellow and at it too. guess what. this arsehole ref sent jota off against spurs for a complete no tackle yellow. secret spurs fan???
haaland still mouthing. love it. vvd got a game added for that. should have been given second yellow for mouth. completely left off there.

pep knows his side blew it. didn't even bother saying anything to Hooper. love it l. we are proper second now
Spurs play some mental football. Their own worse enemy at times trying to play out. It’s like they get fined if they go long at any point or something. Sometimes you just need to play % football and even city know that. Still good set of results for us. Shame arsenal won but city villa & spurs all dropping points so a small gap between us and spurs now. With villa playing city next will be more dropped points and good chance for us to pull away from 1 of them.
Reminds me of us under Brod; retain the ball at all costs. It's can be suicidal at times. Much prefer it approach under Klopp; retain the ball if you can but but don't put the team at risk (shame we've lost the ability to actually pass to each other recently)
I don't see the point in sending the ref to the monitor - VAR might as well just tell him he's wrong and overrule him. I think I've only ever seen a ref decline to have his mind changed for him once.
Interesting That's pretty much what they do in cricket. If it is referred to the video ref, they have the final say But if you take Rugby, It is much more of a question from the onfield to the Video, which is then discussed with a video recommendation. Onfield still having the final decision. Although the current Yellow card sin-bin possible upgrade to a red is now in the video ref's domain.
this season feels like "the hang over" so far. the big world cup debacle, the summer internationals, the Europeans games, more internationals. the big teams just look that bit jaded and disinterested right now. they are getting through rather than powering through.
