Burstow had one touch in Millwalls box yesterday. If people think that's him being given a fair crack that's fair enough but how about we pass the ball to him first and then decide if he's good enough. Dack as the false 9 had 1 touch in the Millwall box. Mayenda had 2 touches in the Millwall box. Pathetic service.

A cdm would release Neil or Ekwah for their quality threaded passes

We already play with an attacking midfielder and they never play balls through to the striker despite runs consistently being made. Same for the wingers. Clarke crossed the ball 2 times yesterday, thats it.

Aouchiche has been poor. Talented but not functional. Jobes game is more about runs into the box. There’s an argument for Dack for sure but I think a creative Neil not a defensive Neil is what we need and Ekwah has been poor since his injury but has it in his locker.

I did say “I think” for a reason.I.e. I don’t fully remember. Definitely one game he had good chances and should’ve seen us well ahead. I haven made any narrative about experienced strikers at all. But I know, there have been a few fluffed chances. And I completely agree. Mayenda isn’t the only one who’s made “those” runs and nit been passed to. Think all 4 have (him, Burstow, Rusyn and Hemir)

I honestly don’t think that’s true of some (not yourself) some on social media almost seem to want us to lose so he can be peddled quickly!

Changing a manager is quicker and simpler in a system like ours imo.

A new man wouldn't have to go out looking for players, scouting, etc ...

... whoever comes in next will have a ready made set up with players the club wants.

Hopefully we'd keep looking for better players, and developing those we have, but there wouldn't be the upheaval we've had previously.

It's all very exciting when the likes of Keane come in, and sign a boatload of players, but it never seems like a stable way to run a club imo.

If Mowbray doesn't get us into the play-offs there'd be plenty of time for a new man to get things ready for the new season.

I was saying the same yday. The replies to the clubs tweets were really surprising to me. Almost all were demanding his was sacked. Never thought it was so one sided.

I’ve said it before but I would really like us to go with Roberts on the left and Clarke on the right.

That way they would be putting crosses in on their favoured foot and I would expect the crosses to be more accurate in finding our strikers.

They can still occasionally come inside but nowhere near as much as they do now.
Jack may score fewer goals but his assists should shoot right up.
Pat ….. well, his assists should shoot up as well (and who knows, maybe he will start scoring again)

I agree with those saying Burstow should go back to Chelsea in January and that Hemir should go out on loan, maybe to
Derby seeing that Embleton has returned injured.

Very good post with very valid points.

I feel in the summer they will part ways. He was given a 2 year deal initially - I know he hit a trigger point of a further 12 months as he finished 6th last season - but no one expected that to happen, not even Tony.

Ultimately the club want to get promoted in the next 2/3 seasons as per the accounts and 5 year plan. Tony isn't the man to do that. He said himself yesterday. By his own admission "I've always been a development coach"

He's here to stabilise and consolidate the club in the championship and get this group of players up to the standard.

They were obviously looking at replacements last summer. I think they'll change it this summer, someone younger, and progressive to take us to that next stage.

Tonys chapter in this book is to develop, consolidate and lay the foundations for the next man.

Reading to-day that Rusyn, Rigg and Seelt we all unavailable for selection yesterday due to sickness or slight knocks , this explains a few things if so . I wish we got some pre- match information on player availability , it would save a lot of damaging speculation, malicious or otherwise.

It's not, people who feel aggrieved will always shout the loudest.

People who are patient will naturally just be patient and want the manager and team to win games as they've done before.

Boro started horribly, didn't win until the end of September losing at home to QPR and Millwall. Their supporters weren't demanding Carrick was sacked to my recollection and, despite having glaring squad shortages, have brought themselves almost level with Sunderland.

I doubt they've given up tbh.

we’ve not demanded him sacked either tho as far as I’m aware? We still get good crowds and fans are behind the team, social media isn’t everything.

Not seeing people giving up to be fair Smug.
We’ve been very poor and too predictable and easy to play through.
Imho Mowbray has not been good enough either right from the start of the season with his treatment of Hemir and poor use of subs on a regular basis.
It’s only my opinion and I will stick by it, whilst recognising that many others disagree.
I’ve not given up and doubt anyone has who has looked at the table but we need to turn it around quickly.
We certainly don’t want to be cut adrift from the playoffs going into January and trying to
fend off unwanted interest in our players from PL sides.

Said the other day, this forum is always busiest after poor results/form. This is the same with social media. Unfortunately it’s the way some fans are. Always shout louder when it’s negative as they expect positive and don’t think they should provide praise when due.

It's the endless conundrum of people saying they're happy to evolve and develop ...

... but wanting to win every game.

To a degree we're all the same, I am.
