Well firstly what a stupid time for a football match 1:30pm on a Sunday.
Have to feel sorry for the Norwich fans.

However we fans have no choice-

For me another tough game against a Norwich that are not quite firing just like us.

I was very impressed with our performance down at Southampton especially the first half and even though Southampton were far better in the second half still thought we gave them a game.
Just imagine one of their players who scored the goal would cost more the 50% of our team on the pitch.

I hoping Liam can get the boys fired up for a home win.

    2- 0 to the reds.

Hope you're right RR but I think we're a bit light up top, so a draw for me.

David Wagner vote of confidence lose Sunday i reckon he be gone-

Norwich City manager David Wagner given vote of confidence ahead of decisive Bristol City test

Norwich City have plummeted down the Championship standings and have one of the worst defensive records in the league

Norwich City manager David Wagner has received a vote of confidence from the board ahead of Sunday’s potentially job-defining game against Bristol City, but the decision over his future ultimately rests with new sporting director Ben Knapper.

Norwich have won just two of their last nine games, losing seven, have fallen to 14th in the Championship and any confidence and optimism towards Wagner’s methods in gaining promotion appear to have evaporated, with Tuesday’s 3-2 defeat to Watford a particularly galling result as the Canaries led 2-0 at Vicarage Road.

The Eastern Daily Press has now published two separate editorials calling for Wagner to be sacked, with the weekend trip to Ashton Gate potentially sealing his fate should another poor performance and result entail.

Speaking at this week’s AGM, chief shareholders Delia Smith, Michael Wynn Jones and Mark Attanasio discussed the situation at length, deferring the final decision to Knapper, who was appointed in October having previously spent four years at Arsenal as loans manager.

"It was a difficult night (at Watford). The first 26 minutes were pretty special but the next 50 minutes were pretty awful," American businessman Attanasio said, as reported by the Pink Un. "All of our deficiencies at this club were laid bare that night, and it's not just the coaching.

"It's uniquely British to say 'coach out', but I've been here about 14 months and in two years we've had three coaches. That is not something you see in American sports - if you have two CEOs in two years, that is not a prescription for success. That is a sign of a knee-jerk reaction.

"We should all give Ben (Knapper) a chance to assess things and make moves that are strategic and work in the middle to long term. I'm convinced he will make the right choices. We will leave it to Ben."

Smith added: "I have no crystal ball. I do not know. Football goes up and football comes back. I think Mark is surprised that we keep changing managers. My dream is to have a manager long-term and I hope he is right."

Based on Ashley Barnes’ comments in the wake of the Watford defeat, Wagner retains the support of the dressing room as the Bath-born forward claims the players are to blame for “switching off” defensively in games. Only Rotherham (37) have conceded more goals than Norwich (35) this season, while they rank 21st in the division for expected goals against (28.3) and have conceded at least two goals in six of their last seven games.

Barnes, meanwhile, is set to start at Ashton Gate on Sunday, having only recently returned from a knee injury as striker Josh Sargent remains out while Hwang Ui-jo was taken off against Watford due to a hamstring issue.

“You want to win for him. He gets a lot of criticism, but it's not him, it's us who are making stupid mistakes," Barnes told BBC Radio Norfolk. "We need to put the basics right as soon as possible.

The manner in which we are conceding goals is the same all the time - we keep switching off. We need to stand by each other, grab your mate next to you and stick together.

"It doesn't matter if you're old or young, you win together and lose together. This league is relentless and does mad things to you and you have to dust yourself down and go again.”

unfortunatly the yardstick means "better than that" ! to be a team capable of being in the top 6, away from home you should at least draw away against such teams!
A good side to a degree is we played them all away, and underlying trend is that after CHRISTMAS/ 23 GAMES teams have their second half of season either maintaining their "high position" [top 12 ] played most of the top teams away around them and done well, [ strong position ] or played the top teams at home and done well! [ harder fixtures next half ] [ BCFC in top teams away group ]
The lower teams have done the opposite! [ performed poorly against better teams at home in bottom half and also worse away! ] so the path's are set.
Although one or 2 from ends, top 8 bottom 8 ] move away from their aggregated position ............[ either sprint up or fall away ]

Placing a bet on how your team is going to finish often indicated end of January! ..............

I agree, they are there for the taking. The team have to believe they can, and play that team in front of them, not the name of the team. No need to fear Norwich

They’re on a poor run of form - just like Stoke were when we last played them at AG.
    We’re bound to win……… <whistle>

It looks like a good many seats are empty from my view and perhaps the stupid kick-off time (5:30 am here) has had an affect. This will be a difficult game and looking at the starting eleven it might be even worse.

Our defence looks shaky to say the least and to see us attempt to try and go up the pitch is painful to watch.

City go up 1-0 after a great play by Andy and Jason Knight threads the ball into the back of the net. Generally our lack of ball control under pressure let's us down and the final pass is sometimes way off the mark, but not on the goal.
