Also, changing ends from the usual attacking North first half, South second. Never works. Hope it was their idea to disrupt us, not ours

This......also speeds up the play, doesn't give the opposition time to get set....you watch any good team they'll all play the same way

Well that was damn chilly. I thought a good competitive, enjoyable game to watch, against a physical Watford side. Gutted with the result though, a sickener, we didn’t deserve to lose that, but master of our own downfall. Could/should have scored more, had good opportunities, thought the Twine shot was going in before hitting one of our own, and poor penalty choice, yes, it was in the corner but no pace giving the keeper time to make save. I assumed, wrongly, Delap would be pen taker with power. 2 poor goals conceded, thought Allsop could have made more effort to stop the first, unless he was unsighted in front of him. At the time Delap lost the ball for the 2nd goal, Allsop didn’t bust a gut to get back to reduce the options of being lobbed, didn’t really react, I assume he misjudged thinking the shot was going high/wide. Having said that, to be fair, Allsop made a cracking one hand save at South end to stop a goal bound effort.

All in all, very frustrating but entertaining afternoon, at least Ince didn’t score! UTT.

Exactly why I said Ingram did nothing and LR just wanted his man in. That's. It anti Rosie, it's just a fact..... And you've pretty much agreed with me

And it's not his first mistake either.

Why do we not have any physicality in the side despite Delap, needs addressing.

Careful what you ask for. Would you like to see a lost ingram with the ball at his feet. Hes a good goalkeeper but its not enough. Great keeper to have on the bench

    Last 5 conceded. All avoidable.
Two at Swansea, 1 vs Rovrum, 2 today..
All down to Allsopp. If he plays again this year I'll be surprised. Always stands about 40 yards off his line, then nonchalantly trots back. Surprised he hasn't been caught out before, bound to happen one day....Had to be today, didn't it? Cardiff fans tried to tell us he was $hit-squared. Sadly, I've got a feeling they were right. Failure to get a decent keeper will be the difference between a top 6 finish and the 'nearly men' tag.

If Ingram could pass the ball like Allsop could I would agree. It’s a really poor mistake but he made 2 very good saves that people are forgetting about

We need another keeper in the summer realistically that Rosenior feels comfortable playing this system with. Too many times teams have pressed us when Ingram was in and we couldn’t work our way out. Allsop has been a key component in our build play being far better

I'd cash in on Ingram ( won't be huge amount though ) and bring in, like you say another keeper. Ingram is more the good enough to be a first choice GK in the champ and we need a #2 that plays Rosie's way

He’s just a better shot stopper in my opinion which is what a keeper should be first and foremost before being able to pass it.

Someone like Preston or Blackburn would snap our hands off for Ingram. Both their respective keepers are underperforming

I do suspect Allsop was way down on the list of options and maybe we revisit some of the ones we looked at but didn’t come off. I do like Allsop and I think the trade off is worth it given how poor we looked at in build up with Ingram. Today was a really bizarre fluke

Or we could just play a decent goalkeeper who is good at goalkeeping - and not required to be part of the fu***** around at the back/sorry, I mean build up play. :bandit:

Couldn’t resist. Anyway, we were unlucky today. Deserved at least a point!

Odd day today, we lose but so does everyone else. So still in 6th, but need something positive from DQPR and Mbrough...Hard ask.

You’d be first to criticise if we played a keeper that couldn’t play out from the back and we conceded a goal as a result of them being poor at it.

I think we looked at 3 others that didn't come off for whatever reason with 1 being Darlow. Yes today was a fluke, but it also should of been dealt with, he's made a couple of mistakes recently and having a shaky patch ATM but I'm sure he'll come through it.

But if a keeper is having a shaky patch it can really cost you points.....
