Armenia v Wales Competition - Euro 2024, Group D Venue - Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium, Yerevan Date - Saturday, November 18, 2023 Kick off - 2pm A tantalising final week in Group D with Wales’ trip to Armenia. Rob Page's men suffered a surprise 4-2 defeat at home to Oleksandr Petrakov's side back in June to leave them fearing for their place at next summer's tournament. However, Wales have bounced back and beat Croatia last month to put their fate in their own hands in these final two games. With only the head-to-head advantage over Croatia, who take on Latvia later on Saturday, and a three-point lead over Armenia, this is a must-win game. If they can get the job done in Yerevan, Wales then host Turkey to secure their place at a third-straight Euros. I’m going for a nervy 2-1 win in Armenia, thus setting up a showdown against the Turks in Cardiff next week. Allez Les Rouges!
In the UK the match will be shown live on Viaplay Sports 1 and in the Welsh language on S4C. Viaplay subscribers can also watch the contest on their website and app, while Channel 4 will show a free live stream in Welsh on their website.
That was never a yellow for Mepham, pathetic decision. And of course the Armenian player goes down holding his face and rolling around.
Fair result, though I thought we were slow to get into this one, Armenia were well organised, if they had been more clinical in the final third they could have won this fixture, still a good result for an away fixture.....
