Match Day Thread FA Cup 2nd Round Chairboys v Shrimps

It's FA Cup 2nd round day and we welcome the Shrimps to Adams Park its as long ago as six years since we last reached this stage so a very long wait so we need to forget about our league form and progress into the third round draw at the first time of asking.
I expect Matty will make changes for this one but hopefully to strengthen the starting lineup.
I will not be braving the cold but I will be listening to the game on Wanderers TV looking forward to us reaching the third round draw again after a three year wait

Watching us at the moment reminds me of Englands ‘golden generation’. Pass it around at the back get closed down so aimlessly boot it forward. These goal kicks with Forino playing to the keeper who passes it back again only to get closed down and boot it forward means we are always stuck in our own half. Admitting you are wrong and changing is not a bad thing.

 

After two favourable draws in the two most important cup competitons Bloomfield has managed to blow both of those a third on Tuesday night coming up. What exactly are they doing on the training ground, I know we have injuries, from today's game reports it was a straight forward victory for Morecambe after the first 30 minutes

 

The only consolation I can think of for you lads is at least it wasn't Derek Adams in charge.

Regardless of the manager, if a L1 team can be dominated by L2 teams (that's 3 now and they are nowhere near the best in L2) the players either are not good enough, or they are not trying. They should have been trying their hardest to get into Round 3. There should be a long hard look at the players regarding their abilities and attitudes. Even if re got relegated, it looks as though we would be struggling to hold our own in L2

 

& even Eastleigh managed to beat Reading 2-1, all teams have a run of good years looks like ours has come to the end
