Would make sense wouldn't it. We are so easy to defend against because we are so one dimensional. Huddersfield are terrible but all they had to do was sit in a low block and double Clarke and it was game over.
This could be a bit rambling and disjointed but… We are in need of a fresh approach but that doesn’t necessarily mean Mowbray should go. He’s capable of doing that but seems a bit stuck in the way we play or who we play. There’s no point in Robert’s being on the pitch at the moment, he’s not creating chances. Clarke is turning into a one trick pony and teams has sussed him. He never looks for a striker. The overlapping fullbacks point is right (imo) and we have the players to do it but I’m almost nostalgic for Gooch (when he was at his best) bombing down the wing but I know all the reasons why he’s not here now and I accept that. The forwards we have got haven’t got the personal dominance or whatever to impose themselves within the team. Clarke needs balling out for what he’s doing at the moment but none of our strikers are going to do that at our top scorer who’s been here a long while and plays every game - our strikers aren’t established enough to do that. Mowbray therefore needs to sort it out. And one more thing - no I don’t want to return to hoofball but why doesn’t Patterson give it a long punt now and again? It might catch a team by surprise. Pickford could pick a player out with a long pass - Patterson needs to practice and switch on to opportunities.
The coach we allegedly want isnt available until the summer. Would it not be worth sticking with Mowbray until then?
Because he is a top bloke, loves his work here. Don't believe anything like this will happen and he will be well aware his position will be reviewed in the summer.
Wonder if Mogga will remain in any capacity (beyond his contract)? Quite clearly hes very good at the youth development side of things.
im not sure the youth development is all down to Mobray tbh! If he was that good surely he’d have loads of offers?
It's a collective of many, of course. But he clearly has a track record, Blackburn were massive on it and he helped bring loads through and he's done the same here. Clarkey said recently how good he has been for him.
Agree with you both. He might not get that far unless he gets his finger out. His management this season has been poor and his man management even worse, particularly considering its such a young squad.
Unless our number 1 target is available, I would give Mowbray the rest of the season. We need to get the urgency and pace back in our play. It was there last year and it was a breath of fresh air compared to Sunderland teams of years gone by which didn't seem to have any pace in it.
Any need? You may of heard he'll be here until the summer but that holds no weight as if this form continues he'll be gone. No need to be a dick like.
I’m just copying the rest of the dick’s who are telling us he’s definitely going, you don’t seem to have a dick problem with them?
