Watched the QPR game last night they played Preston of the park, especially when Chair came on at half time he was unplayable for 45 minutes, I think they have found a good manager too on this showing, time will tell. Read on here (somewhere) the other day that we were safe because the bottom three were already down <yikes>, . And we are still I think only 2 points of the play-offs ? , this season is far from over . "Talk about sucking eggs" . <laugh>.

Agree about Hume, but then Roberts needs to be quicker to move the ball. All well and good trying to dribble and take people on, but its far too predictable now.

Silver lining re Cirkin. Unless Spurs buy him in this Jan window that's their option gone.

Preston will repeat what they did last season and slip down the league now.
My mate was at the Boro game midweek and he said they are the worst team theyve faced this season.

In response to Chair i really dont know why no bigger and better clubs have made a move for him yet. He's a quality player at this level and would grace any team in the league.

Having your best players unavailable to stop other teams from signing them is not the way forward mate.
Nobodys going to look at him twice the way his injury record has been the last 15 months, he's far too much a risk for anyone.

Bad attitude according to the QPR fans ...

... unplayable when he's up for it but that's rare apparently.

No idea how I feel today.

I'm still pissed off with them for how its been going recently, we've been so ****ing frustrating. But, like any abusive relationship I'll be back for more of the same today. Hoping its our day and come 5pm I'm bouncing.

We got rid of Stewart with a far worse injury record mate.

Very true, but this manager looks like he is changing things around there , and for the better, I know its only one game, so as always time will tell. <ok>

Hed spent many more years playing first team football though mate, and his goalscoring record at this level was what gave him such a big fee

Just what I was thinking, but then again LND might just be worth the gamble, certainly more so than Cirkin imo. .

Fair bit of backlash from their fans online after his set back like, I mean I wouldn’t be happy either if we spunked £10m and he was crocked again after 17mins, new injury too so I think the lad could be done at this level

I think we have to be a bit careful here. Injuries can happen at any time to any player. It can be that they have a physical weakness,e.g. hamstring, groin which is always prone to a relapse,no matter how much recovery time is taken. On the other hand,it can be a more severe injury, which can take a long time to heal, but isn't likely to recur. As we know, the further up the ladder these players move, the more physical the demands. The PL is full of not outstandingly gifted players, but whose physical strength enables them to compete at the highest level. It's a real worry about the future of the game imo. Are we going to end up with needing to have a team of 6*4* muscle men who can play a bit in order to compete?

I really hope not. Unlike many of our fans i hold no animosity with Stewart, hes late 20s and this next contract was the last big one of his career so despite wanting to stay he needed to think of his future after football. He spent alot of his career in Scotland on a small wage.

After such a longterm injury other injuries were bound to follow so its no suprise hes out again with something else. I dont think he'll properly start his Southampton career till next season.
