Talking about playing golf with pallister once he's finished coaching... Sounds like the beginning of the end
Problems in the dressing room? Mowbray on Corry Evans and Luke O'Nien's importance "Corry is obviously injured, he's is on his way back. His boots are on every day now but he's a miss as an experienced footballer who can resolve issues in the dressing room. "Luke is an amazing human being and an amazing guy, a really talented footballer. Luke sometimes wants everything to be like him, and I've spoken to him about this. "Luke is a huge footballer for our club and he's a big help to me in keeping the dressing room together."
the only problems I could imagine are players pissed off at not getting a shot when things aren’t exactly going great.
Hopefully the forwards are kicking off with the coaches and the rest of the team for getting no service but then have to take social media calling them ****
Well said. Someone said ‘5 year plan for KLD” was premier league (whilst I’m not saying that is not true, I’ve literally only read it from a poster on here), but I’m watching an exciting time. We were poor on Wednesday, but that has been the exception not the rule. Sadly, this board always seems much busier in those moments!
What's the point in sacking TM, he has not been allowed a decent centre forward for 18 month either through injury or cost savings. Any new guy will be forced to work with what we have got. So what's the point in sacking him. TM knows he ain't KLD's 1st choice, but for KS to hold back funds to stop us moving forward is criminal. Yes this new model might work financially, but are we as fans bothered how we function financially or as a team on the pitch. Things will change soon I think, but might not be for the better, short term.
If TM goes it won’t be because of average results or a dip in form. It will be because we think there is a coach we want as an upgrade. Ideally a new coach would want time to bed in followed by a full pre-season, so Prehabs assertion of January does make a lot of sense to me. Unlike this thread I think replacing TM won’t be about him, it will be more about the next coach. TM would be collateral damage of a long term plan of continuously upgrading all playing staff. I like TM, we play some beautiful football under him, I just think the plan goes beyond him.
I keep seeing this and it’s a decent measure on paper but not if you look at the teams we have dropped points against when we have completely dominated. We should be far better off points wise, that’s not thinking we were entitled to the wins either. Ion some part it’s down to bad luck but also tactical shortcomings.
For the record I don’t think we should or will replace Mowbray although I’m frustrated at the minute. Hoping it’s just a bad patch.
I am! Certainly don’t want a situation like we’re seeing with Everton or the hideousness that is Chelsea. And I haven’t seen anything on the pitch I disliked (occasional poor performances aside). Do you think we should just go and sign someone for £20m? Or an injured CF for£10m like Southampton? I certainly don’t
We are allowed to have a moan if we aren’t happy with the results imo. It’s up to the manager and the players to put things right, if they don’t I’m sure the board will act. It’s not like we are actively trying to force the boards hands and protesting at the matches etc.
How about he creates a system that plays to the strikers strengths and provides them with service? Mayenda had 19 touches on Wednesday, how is he meant to prove if he is decent or not when that is the service he gets given?
One of my ovservations, and it is only mine, is that only Rusyn seems a centre forward that can make himself integral to the play. That is an experience thing I am sure because they are talented. To me when you arent getting the service you need to make yourself involved. You have to find a way to make an impact without the ball, or go and get on the ball in different areas. I think they will learn that personally. Hemir for example needs to learn to use that size and knock defenders about. He couls be a real threat without touching the ball simply by attracting centre halves to him.
Watched the game back yesterday unfortunately and he was trying, dropped deep and was ignored, span in behind and was ignored, drifted wide and was ignored, made a couple of great runs when the ball was in wide areas and was ignored. It makes no sense to me. Huddersfields striker had more touches in a team that had 24% possession.
Thing is even if we just try the ball in behind on a few occasions the defence then have to second guess and gives the likes of Clarke more space by default!
