http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15813784.stm I for one am relieved . I'm intrigued to see how AVB reacts in January though, I think he's a terrific manager and if he can sign his own players I think we'll soon be a force to be reckoned with again .
He's got my backing too! He has the task of creating a wholesale change of playing style, and it wasn't going to happen in a couple of weeks! In the CL its different, where we're chasing points/places and adapt to the venue/side accordingly and where AVB has not yet got it wrong. Be patient-- and we will all be happy in the end!
One more defeat and he'll be sacked by Christmas. And Guuus will be in. Wrong thing to do. But it'll happen.
Chelsea dont have any major issues with AVB. The problem is. Is that the league is now ultra competitive.....Man City flying, Man Utd Consistant, Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are all biting at their heels. With the exception of the Tottenham game Liverpool should have won all their games this season and they would be up with city if they had. Bu tthey have made mistakes and have paid for it because of how competitive the league is. Chelsea are a very good (top) side, but you have to be perfect if you want to finish top thi season. And Liverpool and Chelsea are not on the same level as City at the moment. A month ago, I was thinking had we made a mistake in keeping kenny instead of getting AVB (prior to him going to Chelsea) A month ago I thought yes (maybe.) Everyone needs time, and he will do a cracing job at Chelsea... League is Crazy thi year......
Sensible post Red. With no European footie you should well come fourth ahead of Sours/Arsenal. I think we'll be third. Well played on Sun..
