I was impressed with Charlie yesterday but mainly for his effort and getting stuck in. He has been criticised for being too lazy in the centre but he closed down well and won the ball back a few times.

It would be nice to see him dribble a little more because he does have some quick feet.

However, I have been disappointed with his set pieces so far - they were all poor and I felt he should have tracked Malouda sooner which led to the goal.

    All in all, good performance!

Official stats say that Adam regained possession 10 times yesterday. You'd be lucky to get that from him in a season normally. Looks like he's growing into the job though. He was brilliant against United too, so we know he's up for the big games.

I think the goal was also Dirk's fault for not tracking Terry. Johnson was caught in two minds and let Malouda have the space because he was keeping an eye on Terry (gods knows why though, Terry is hardly dangerous out wide, let alone the left wing.)

So let's finally start getting off his back, then..... I think he gets a bad press and it's not warranted. GKRK

Hopefully people will now start to realise what a player we have bought in charlie Adam because recently its been like when we bought Lucas all over again. One of our best performers this season yet people are still intent on bashing him, I believe cult status awaits!!!

Agreed <ok> he's never going to be the worlds greatest but Kenny had to look for team players with good ability and in Adam we've got one...he may be a poor mans Alonso but I look at it this way....Adam is at least as good as Carrick, Fletcher and Anderson and manure won the league with those balloons last year.

I thought he was superb first half yesterday, seemed to have a real buzz about him and had some great little one touch exchanges with Lucas, Maxi and Suarez but started to get over run second half when Chelsea started to flood midfield and pushed the full backs right up. Kenny bringing Hendo on gave us some much needed energy which Adam seemed to lack after an hour so fitness still a slight question mark. Pass of the match for our second goal though so all in all a good contribution to a great victory.

what would you say about enrique who ran alongside sturridge rather than blocking his path? i think adam didn't want to risk a freekick and a possible yellow should he stop malouda from behind. but it wasa good game. we won! let's enjoy. no bllaming. let's leave that for KK and his staff!

I always knew that Adam is going to come good ..His pass that led to Glen Johson's goal reminded me of Xabi Alonso passes<peacedove>

Yesterday I felt that Adam was starting to get to grips with his new role. It's totally unfair to compare him with Alonso or Masch after 12 games. It also has to be accepted that Alonso only had 1 outstanding season with Liverpool. Further, I would rather have Adam hoping around on 1 foor than a player who refused to play for the club.
