The Whites are the only unbeaten side in the Championship, but face a team, more than capable of causing an upset. After a poor start to the season, Michael Carrick's side are just three points shy of a play off place. They have a fine record away from home, with three wins and a draw from their last four games on the road. They're not that bad at home either, having recorded consecutive wins against Leicester City and a 4-0 drubbing of Preston, most recently. Leeds have no fresh injury worries, so apart from Stuart Dallas, Daniel Farke has a full squad to pick from. We can expect to see Djed Spence and Junior Firpo playing some part in proceedings, though it is assumed that Messrs Gray and Byram will start, with Rodon and Struijk at centre back. please log in to view this image Luke Ayling was dropped from Daniel Farke's squad midweek, in what he called one of the hardest decisions he has ever had to make. It will be interesting to see whether he makes Saturday's team sheet. Boro will be without Sam Greenwood, who is not eligible to play against his parent club, but eleven years after leaving, Jonny Howson returns to his old stomping ground. The 35yo midfielder has 1100 minutes of game time under his belt so far this season, and will be relishing this fixture. Leeds completed the double (4-0 and 0-1) the last time these two sides met (19/20) and hold a 40 - 32 win loss advantage over the Smoggie's with 29 matches drawn.
Going to be a tough game but Leeds have the power and goods to win all 3 points. These are the games that show you have the will to get promotion. Carrick in my view is going to be a top coach and with what’s happened at OT they would have done just as well as giving him the job rather than Ten Hag. So will be organised. anyone remember the CB we always had trouble with at Boro and wanted to buy? The prat caused us trouble last week, Ayala
So, taking the milkyboy kid junior to his first leeds game tomorrow. Appears to have fought off home town pressure to declare himself a leeds fan (well for this week). I've warned him of the life of misery and endless disappointment that will ensue but he claims he's ready to take it on. Will likely freeze his nads off and kill off any enthusiasm tomorrow but hoping for a positive result at least
tough game but if we expecting the top two its a game we should be winning at home. big month coming up with plenty of games. think we will twaat these Saturday.
Boro are the local team for me so there’s bragging rights at stake. I’ve watched a few boro Leeds games in the boro end (more than one of which was a bit hairy) but they were always at boro. Never been in the away end at elland road - and that trend will continue tomorrow
