The players have clearly had a rocket from Martin and it's had the desired effect. Yes the first half was lethargic but they've come out from HT much more aggressive and playing a higher tempo.
Can I ask you why you think we need a rocket to play at an acceptable level? We can't rely on magic moments to fix every game - and what do we do when it is the second half that is lethargic (like last game)? Genuine questions.
Whoever has to compile the highlights of Saints games has a very easy job. There are usually only a couple of incidents to chose from. Money for old rope.
It wasn't really a magic moment. It was a very good strike but hardly a Garnacho overhead kick - THAT was a magic moment. I think people are going OTT because it's one bad half off the back of another. Players will need a kick up the backside every now and again.
You haven't answered my question. These are professional players who put in 90 minutes straight of really poor football. This half is showing how easily we could have been in this game first half but there was no energy and no will to win. You said they need a rocket. I disagree. You don't need to be shouted at to do your job properly.
Why is it that when we are on the ball, everyone is flying, but when we are off the boil, everyone is crap?Players are not robots, so why do they all play the same way.
