Time to move on to another big game for Newcastle vs Manchester United. I don't think anyone should be in any doubt that Newcastle's side are completely burned out, so I can't see any other result than a Manchester United win unfortunately.... just my opinion of course. Hopefully they can recover and we get 45 minutes to an hour out of the remaining players before it becomes one way traffic again. Your thoughts please.
Man Utd have a tough game away to Galatasary tonight which is a must win for them - 24hrs less rest and a longer trip back
I wouldn't rule it out, but I found it alarming just how tired Newcastle were after 60 minutes last night and there's no back up.
I would have taken Isak off, plonked Joelinton up there, obvs he would drop back and bring on Hall in midfield
The thing is making none should have worked so it is what it is. Ultimately I think Newcastle still have a good chance so we'll wait and see whether this decision even matters.
Considering the injuries, I'm surprised how well we're doing, real belief and spirit now, so I don't see an easy win. Man U looked good today, but as soon as they let one in, Gala have been all over them. And they've been getting results in the league despite playing dreadfully. I think we'll win 2-1.
Referee: Robert Jones. Assistants: Lee Betts, Timothy Wood. Fourth official: Graham Scott. VAR: Michael Salisbury. Assistant VAR: Ian Hussin.
Need to get shots and crosses in from 1st min. Onana got to take some blame for all 3 goals. And we moan about Pope.
I think we likely will - two occasions vs PSG (Gordon and Isak) they should just be hitting it against a liability like Donnarumma and they mess about against world class CB"s, I'm sure Howe will address that for this match. Sometimes you've just got to get the shot away when confidence is low.
