On the crowd and atmosphere, it still feels to me like there isn't really any hype from the stands or the city around this team and its prospects. I think we're very serious playoff candidates and that is a big deal considering how far we fell in recent years. I hope that as we get into the second half of the season that excitement starts to build.
Lower in the table....Norwich, Bristol, Coventry etc...I'm no economist guru but there is far more disposal income in those type of cities compared to Hull...This city is usually at the bottom of the table when it comes to level of wages....But always top of the poverty table ..I even understand that Hull is #1 for the number of smokers per head of population. Something to be proud of!!! That said the only table I'm interested in is the one that shows HCAFC in 6th and beginning to forge a tiny chink of daylight between us and the chasers....TBH... Not sure what the reference to Hull Fair is about.
Scoreboard had 19766...BBC the same....but the same scoreboard has us winning 5-0 after Rovrum scored, then that went to 6-0..Maybe it was 'kids having a work experience' night.
Since all the Allam fiasco and all the general bullshit in football at the same time I just feel very flat about football as a whole compared to pre-name change shenanigans.
One concern f we didn’t have Jaden do you think we draw after gong 2 down away from home. ? I Still think we need a goal poacher
Ben thingy-Diaz would be nice, but somehow can't see it. He'd be more likely to go bottom of premier league, Blunts or Turd Moor.
The city is the same as its ever been sadly, and after the last few years I think even the most hardened among us don't want to get ahead of themselves and start shouting from the rooftops
You are wrong. There was an article a while ago about disposal income after housing costs etc were taken out. Amazingly there was only £1 per month difference between Norwich and Hull. Coventry does not have a lot of well off people The article showed Hull, Stoke and Middlesbrough in the top five for low wages. But when it came to disposable income whilst those two were in the bottom five Hull was 22 nd from the bottom. Another article last week showed Hull in the list of cheapest places for a pint and Norwich in the list of dearest. Hull Fair was just a reference to it being quoted if our crowds dip before and after it.
There was a near sell out concert at the Arena last night as well. I attended that on the basis that its taken 50+ years for me to see him perform live - and I will no doubt have many future occasions to see City play Rotherham
A good performance putting the team on course to be serious challengers for a top six spot. I never thought I'd see a team play as poor as Wednesday this season, but last night I did. Confidence is building every game they play and with the U21 trio driving the team forward anything is possible this season if they can keep clear of serious injuries. I fancy bringing in another U21 international during January, so how about it Big AL?
