Tumbled down the league? We're 5th And if you failed to enjoy the attacking football on Sunday then I can only assume you haven't been enjoying us all season cos the football on Sunday and at times against Chelsea were outstanding.
If Dier had been 6 inches back or if son had scored we'd have been talking about what an amazing result. It was fine lines. Tbh you are coming across like you only enjoy watching us if we win , or at a push draw. This surprises me cos I have never thought that about your posts before. Not trying to insult you BTW, just an opinion.
As someone who was on the wrong end of a deliberate (very bad) double break in a game 30 years ago, I don't generally wish harm on footballers. However I'm going to make an exception for this nasty little cnut. Thoughts are with Rodders and wish him back ASAP.
Both of those were worse than Romero's the other week I said it during the game, but there has to be some alternative punishment for 'assailants' when the injured player has to be taken off and/or as in this case, the player has suffered a serious injury.
I do all the time, lol. Probably about 25+ footballers on my “hope your career ends” list. Cash near the top of it.
Bentancur and Maddison injured. Sarr and Bissouma away at AFCoN in January. Skipp-Berg vibes will be back, baby.
Kulusevski said that he very much enjoyed being back in the middle on Sunday. I hope that he continues to feel that way, as he's going to be spending some time there!
Football is a results business. I want to see Spurs win some trophies. The second half against Chelsea wasn’t enjoyable for me, losing 4-1 at home to that lot hurts. Then the Wolves games wasn’t a great watch. Sunday started well played some nice football but then didn’t change anything when Bentancur went off even though nobody on the field can play like him. It leaves me worried that Ange is naive snd inflexible in his approach and doesn’t have a plan b. He got away with lot of things at Celtic domestically because it’s a piss poor league but in Europe he got nowhere with them.
For me this season is now a free pass for Ange. The injuries he has had to contend with and the squad he has inherited, means it would be unfair to judge him in such a short space of time. As long as we continue to play good football and I can see the direction he wants to take us, I don’t care about losing some games along the way. He needs at least other couple of transfer windows to hopefully complete the squad that he wants. After that point then we can judge him on how flexible he is with his tactics to manage different kinds of games. For now it’s just about getting over his way of playing football to this squad, and I really hope we continue this way across the whole season whatever injuries/suspensions we get. Reverting back to the old way of defensive football gives out completely the wrong message to the players. I’ve said it before but it really reminds me of klopp in his first season and look what happened there when he was given time.
Ange, like pochettino, needs time to get his players in, his style of play embedded and to rebuild the connection between the club and the fans. He (like pochettino in his first season) is showing real good early progress. In my opinion its a case of enjoy the ride this season...there will be highs and lows (like pochettinos first season) but all the signs ate that we are putting down some solid foundations. I stopped going last season cos it weren't worth the money but have been 3 times so far and have a ticket for another. I have watched all our live games on sky (last season I barely bothered cos we're were rubbish to watch... the only good thing about being a spur last season was this board!
He needs a few transfer windows to shape the squad Losing Maddison and van der Ven was always likely to be problematic - and so it has proved straightaway because the squad depth isn’t there to compensate for their absence. And with other absences and injuries to contend with too, the lack of alternatives outside the first choice 11-15 players has been exposed.
Everyone wants to see us win trophies! I am delighted Ange doesn't have a Plan B because I would prefer a well rehearsed Plan A to two half arsed plans.
I still remember Ramos Not only am I still not sure what his Plan A even was, a few of the squad have said he didn't even bother having a plan for a large chunk of matches
All those tactical geniuses since have failed to do what he did and win something! And no I am not defending him but that's the sad truth
Wait until you hear how barren Newcastle's trophy cabinet has been for the past seventy years Yet for some reason that never comes up
