Agreed, they're definitely not equal. She's clearly much better than the useless blokes we've had all season. And most here are happy to have a decent ref regardless of gender. Now get ****ed off with your sexist bollocks.
Listening to the Rotherham pods they reckon it ain't the best. Didn't **** anything up tonight though.
I had the privledge of being a guest in the Directors Suite tonight. Very good it is too, and I saw the game and the club from a different perspective. Excellent seats and I thought the crowd made more noise then usual, you could certainly hear the home fans from the Directors Box. Of course there were some quiet spells but City were in so much control it was a like a practise game at times. We played some excellent stuff IMO and every player looks comfortable on the ball. Pity Jacob Greaves couldn't finish his superb run off with a goal in the first half because that would have been a goal of the season contender. Spoke to the Rotherham Directors at the end and they thought we were a 'very good team'. They were suffering from injuries apparently and the player who made the mistake for our first goal hadn't played a game for months according to them and conceding two goals in the opening ten minutes made the job impossible for them. There was a whiff of disappointment about the crowd from Acuns group ( in a different suite to us). They don't understand that Rotherham only brought 400 and to get 18,000 home fans on a very cold Tuesday night at the end of November is really a decent crowd, especially when we have two home games in a week. The 'mauled by the tigers' chant looked impressive too and even brought smiles from the Rotherham contingent. Lovely meal too and a free bar. ( I only had one). The club looks in a very healthy position from where I was tonight. UTT.
Weird. She's probably the best ref we've had all season so think that deserves praise. Had nothing to do with her gender.
I've seen the Who, but not in Leeds...Ironically, thats the title of one of the best live rock albums ever recorded. Though, the rumour is, it was the Hull City Hall gig.
Very good reffing performance tonight...Far better than the likes of Keith (fecking) Stroud and the other inmates.
Saw Sabbath in L**ds for 'the end' tour. Asked for Glasgow tix but the kids got me l**ds. 3 gigs before the actual 'end' too, so not so bad. Only downside was having to spend 4 hours in that **** hole. Depends if she ****ed up or not. But she didn't. At all. Which is a first this season so what's your beef? You made a point about gender, we just said she was good. Apologies if your dick is too small to accept that.
Couple of questions 1. Were Acun’s group disappointed by the numbers in the crowd, or the crowd’s vocal ‘performance’ ? 2. If you had a free bar how is it possible to only have one drink? Doesn’t compute. I didn’t even know they came in odd numbers!
Might have been driving? And yeah, numbers and noise wasn't the best. Wasn't much of a contest though. First 25 mins was all over.
I actually thought the crowd was pretty quiet for long periods. That is from my North Stand perspective. Glad you had a good night. After all the years I've been going to watch City I've never been in one of the boxes
Yeah I probably would have. She was by far the best ref we've had all year which is a low bar admittedly. Seems like you've just assumed everyone's mentioning it because of the gender rather than her performance.
I had planned to try and focus on watching Morton for today's match above all else. Being in the press box lets you essentially play a form of Football Manager, such is the view. (Though the drawback of it being cold as **** up there does take away from it over the winter period ) Firstly, that specific plan of focusing on a single player lasted about 5 minutes because I couldn't look away from the ball, the football was so spot on. And secondly, Morton absolutely dictated play so much that it was impossible to not focus on him and made the initial plan pointless. I've made it clear on our podcast and on social media that we have to do everything to keep him. Every game enforces that moreso.
I think they expected another 20,000 gate. It was no big deal, no-one was thowing glasses about in a hissy fit or anything. Someone whispered it in my ear, no-one was making an issue of it. They don't fully understand the logisitics yet. 18,000 home fans for a Tuesday night game at this time of the year is excellent. They will learn. As for the free bar and one drink, I didn't know the bar was going be free, and even when I realised, if you want to be asked again you don't take the mick. Enjoyed the company, the occasion and being invited.
Perfect warm up for Championship opponents on Saturday.. Jaden’s taking the pizz in this league.. Forza CITY. Allam’s GONE.
It wasn't a box, you use the suite then take your seats in the the middle of the West Stand, high up above the players tunnel.
