Roma vs Udinese on TNT2. 0-0 this far, 15mins in. Roma looking far the more likely. Success and Ferreira start.
I was in a Harrow pub. The Scottish fans were whole lot more pleasant than the English fans, for sure.
I was wondering why Deulofeu and Davis weren't in the match squad - it seems that both are injured. GD has been out since last season and Davis since he transferred there - hasn't played at all.
Pundits everywhere going into raptures over Garnacho's bicycle kick goal against Everton yesterday, claiming it to be the best they'd ever seen. I'm guessing that none of them were around to see Nick Wright's goal at Wembley...
Persistence does pay off. On Saturday, my near-neighbours Buckie Thistle of the Highland League travelled to Edinburgh for a Scottish Cup 3rd round tie against Broxburn, a 6th tier side. A red card in the 20th minute saw them play a man short for the rest of the game - and they held out until the 82nd minute, when Broxburn took the lead. But they kept plugging away and equalised in the 8th minute of added time, taking the game into extra time. Broxburn took the lead again in the 120th minute - only for Buckie to equalise with the last kick 2 minutes later - and then win the penalty shootout. Yesterday they got the reward their efforts deserved - a 4th round tie away to Celtic. A dream tie for football fans in Buckie as most of them are Celtic supporters. I dread to think what the score will be though - double digits for sure.
Am glad this diving cheat doesn't play for Norwich any more, or we'd possibly have this to contend with tomorrow night. Todd Cantwell in yesterday's Aberdeen v Rangers match, diving in search of a penalty - he's lucky he didn't land 40 miles away in Fraserburgh. No penalty awarded, but no yellow card for simulation either - don't know what the ref was thinking about...
