Our football has been incredible and so good to watch. If we could get our best 11 out (like we did in the first 10 games of the season) then I fancy us to give anyway a good game, even City. The problem is some of the players we are now relying on just don’t have the quality. That’s nothing on Ange at all, it just shows we need to give him time and be patient and build a squad.
We have been creating quite a few dangerous situations but are definitely guilty of overplaying it in the final 3rd. Not surprised to see Villa score as we don’t have any CBs on the pitch so there was always going to be a vulnerability. Losing Bentancur again is such a kick, he was running midfield. If we can just get a bit more clinical in the final 3rd then there are points here for us. Wouldn’t be surprised if Villa get at least one more though.
It was 5-1 to Newcastle at home to this lot and it was 1-1 at half time. 1-1 at half time so you should manage to get a few second half. The suicidal highline they play is easily exploitated as the game progresses.
Win, draw or lose this game I’m not going to be too downbeat. You can see what Ange is trying to build and it was never going to happen overnight
I often said I felt Son was just below the level of being world class. Fantastic player and a real favourite but Kane, among a select few others in Europe, are just on a different level to the rest. I’m almost certain Kane will be in Balon d’Or contention next year now that he’s at Bayern.
Cash subbed off at HT. Inevitable. Good management from Emery though, he was rattled and one tackle away from a second yellow.
Of course they sub off Twatty Cash at HT It didn't occur to Emery that there's going to be a few Spurs fans sat directly behind him for the next 45ish minutes who might want to have a word with him...
Will never happen, but in those scenarios, when the injured player is forced off, then their team should be given the choice of any opposing player to be subbed.
