    Match Preview;
    Having sat through yesterday's game on QPR+, yes, it was better, in parts...we had more possession 62%, more shots (9 to their 7), more shots on target (3 to their 1) and a lot more corners (7 to their 3). Afraid having sat through the game, this is a classic case of the stats being deceiving. Questions I'd ask to put those stats in context; How many of those shots were Ilias Chair having a go from way out because he was fed up of having no other option/runners? How many of those corners were headed clear by the first defender? Plus of course, they all hide the key stat...one long ball through the defence and we were opened up and one down and chasing the game. A lot of the possession was in their half, but not particularly threatening and it always felt like they were in control. A frustrating afternoon, and given we are now 6 points adrift of 22nd place, a situation that needs to change asap. As 9's mentioned on the match day thread yesterday;

    We can't keep 'dominating' games and coming away with nothing to show for it. I'd give Dykes and Willock a rest on Tuesday night as both have been ineffectual in the last couple of games, and give Kelman and Armstrong a start to see what they can do. Does anyone have any other ideas/magic solutions?

    Our visitors on Saturday, Stoke CIty, won two, then drew two, then lost one in their last five. On Saturday then lost 0-3 to Blackburn Rovers, a result that leaves them 16th with 21 points. André Vidigal is their top scorer, with 5 goals...fancy that, a winger/striker as top scorer, not a left back! Alex Neil finished his first season in charge of Stoke in 16th place, and he'll surely be hoping to finish higher this season. This is Stoke's sixth season in the Championship since relegation in 2018, and in that time four managers have had the chance to get them back to the top flight (Gary Rowett : 2018-19, Nathan Jones : 2019, Michael O'Neil : 2019-2022, Alex Neil : 2022 - present.) They have finished 16th, 15th, 14th then 14th since relegation...so it is proving slow process.

    Enjoy if you are making it to HQ on Tuesday night, wrap up warm, enjoy a half-time hot chocolate, and as always...

    ...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!

    Most certainly Smyth and one of the ones you suggested.
    I would want a 3-5-2! How would that line up?

    I'd stick with Willock, he's starting to show some bits here and there, his confidence will only improve by playing him. God knows what to do with Dykes, I might be inclined to drop him but kind of think chucking Armstrong or Kelman in as sole striker might not be too healthy for them either.

    Why fixate on having a ‘recognised’ striker if none of them can score goals? we have enough attack minded players in Chair, Smyth, Willock, Kolli, dare I say it Richards. Play a false 9 or whatever it’s called.

    Never had any problem taking some snacks/chocolate bars in...they take lids of plastic bottles and won't allow cans of drink in.

    Nice retro shirt. I can see the attraction Hammy.
    Has to be a win tomorrow.
    I’d be inclined to give Dykes 45mins to do something (like find that netty thing with the ball) then replace him at half time if it seems pointless.
    We need players in the box. We need good balls into the box. We need forwards scoring. We need three bloody points.
