@Smudger603 and his gout is VERY unfortunate<wah>.
Hopefully the useless bastard will get to have fewer and weaker attacks of it:emoticon-0152-heart.
I had a heart attack in July 2020 which led to staying in King's/Denmark Hill for a triple heart bypass.
    This was a tad inconvenient<laugh>.
I hope you guys can report better things:emoticon-0165-muscl

I've had a touch of that (gout) years back. Never very bad though.
Sciatica, stones, hiatus hernia, thyroid, prostate, type 2...
It's just called getting old. Should have looked after myself better, but hey ho. Got to bugger on as they say...

I get tired just watching people of my age trying to keep fit :emoticon-0170-ninja

I've been incredibly lucky. In the last few years I've had Lyme disease and Gillian Barre syndrome, both of which often leave sufferers housebound or even bedridden, but in my case they both disappeared after the early symptoms.

Unfortunately it’s of my own doing - not drinking enough fluid during the working day and then rehydrating on lager. It normally only lasts a couple of days but this time it’s dragged on for 7 weeks <yikes> on the mend now and off to Edinburgh this weekend for more booze <cheers> but the boss will be in attendance so I’ll know/ be told my limits <laugh>

I used to have high blood pressure, and still monitor it at home to make sure it's ok. It's OK apart from when I'm listening to football commentary of Charlton or Kilmarnock, when it goes through the roof. The other week, when Kilmarnock won 1-0 it reached the level where you're advised to call an ambulance, but it was fine next morning.

We need to do a swap. My blood pressure is constantly too low so I have to take medication to try to put it up :emoticon-0140-rofl:

Apart from that, countless broken bones over the years, plus currently bilateral inguinal hernias, which are now awaiting their second repair. The first repairs lasted just under 6 months before I ripped them again.

I'm suffering a hydrocele of the scrotum (yes, honestly). Very uncomfortable when sitting down in jeans. I've been referred to a specialist.

    Progress report to follow...

It's basically a build-up of fluid around the balls. Not particularly dangerous, just uncomfortable in certain positions. Gawd knows how it'll be sorted.

    Thank you, kind sir.

I'm hoping to see a specialist in good time. I'll report back once I know the course of action.

    How have you been?

Pretty good really. The usual aches and pains from the ageing process, nothing serious. Just going out for a 5mile walk in beautiful Kent. Use it or lose it.

Nice and fresh out for a brisk walk. That's something I don't do enough of. I'm a lazy sod really. Saying that, when I'm on holiday or a city break, I'm here, there and everywhere, pounding the streets from dawn till dusk. Once home, it's the car from A to B. I'll make it a new year's resolution to be more active on home soil.

I'm glad you are doing okay.

Speaking to a neighbour who's lived here a lot longer than me. Says he used to know most of the local people from out walking, but not now, everyone jumps in the car wherever they go.

Now I’m not a doctor by any means, but in the equine world swelling and water retention in that particular area are very common for active horses who then have to go on box rest (living in a stable instead of outdoors, whilst they are unwell).

Please don’t accept my ‘diagnosis’ but your two posts made me think if this might be similar to the issue that horses have with a lack of exercise.

    Just a thought.

Well, I do have certain horse-like qualities (oo-er, missus!).

    I'll heed your words, bud.
