Flame and Citron is amazing as you say. If you like that would recommend French film Army of Crime and the Norwegian film Max Manus:Man of War both also fact based films about WW2 resistance and also very good.

    It's dreadful.
Laughably pretentious without actually being profound in any way.
Awful and ultimately forgettable paper-thin stereotype characters, and the protagonist is so lame it's hard to even care care as his past is revealed, not enough impact for you to care about his motivations.
Some nice ideas with the camerawork but it's pretty much a one-trick pony for 90 minutes so gets old quite quickly (through the scene with the model city is very well done, and the opening credits over 'Freak' by LFO look superb)
Will probably be very popular with young students trying to impress each other with their 'crazy obscure' taste in movies.

p.s. is Memento the other film you're thinking of?

Saw 'The Pianist' on TV recently, really enjoyed it. Excellent acting and directing.

Strange that no-one has mentioned Megashark vs Giant Octopus.

For pure absurdity; it's a classic.
