We offer very little going forwards still. Was hoping we’d see some direct balls into Stewart but we continued dicking about with it
I just don't get how our halves can be such chalk and cheese. There is no way that we should have such an incredible drop off in play.
Don't get me wrong, certainly not happy just trying to get things in perspective. You're right about moving on, but at least I'm more confident that we will and as long as we do, we're in a very good place at present to increase our promotion credentials.
If it helps, my Saints side is 4-0 up against Juventus at half time in the Champions League. My spreadsheet football is far more satisfying.
I still maintain Ipswich will have a run of poor form at some point. The gap is not insurmountable. Still a ton of points to play for.
At least we didn't lose. Feeling frustrated at 2 points lost, but I want to know how we are going to pick up @......loading...... for another match day thread for Wednesday.
I wonder whether Russell not being on the touchline when Huddersfield changed their game had any bearing on how abjectly we failed to cope with it? The most disappointing thing for me was that Ross Stewart was left up top on his own and saw hardly any of the ball.
Not sure about that, that just seems to be the way we stroll about against everyone when we build our passing game. It was the lack of reaction and adjustments we could of made in the 2nd half that pissed me off.
No at home we seem much more pumped up. Strong tackles, first to loose balls, higher tempo. Today was the opposite.
I just don't get this obsession with messing around at the back and playing the ball to players facing our own goal, It's great to have possession, but why play teammates constantly into trouble? Unless we become more direct Stewart will be very, very ineffective.
We’re not going to win every game. A draw here isn’t the end of the world. We’re still in the mix for automatic promotion and play offs are expected.
