Can’t disagree with anything Natalie Bromley says here. https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...r-league-really-the-holy-grail-for-supporters
Can't disagree either, but the league is also littered with unfashionable clubs who have survived their first season and gone on to be comfortable up there. Brighton, Brentford, Palace, Wolves to name a few. There's always hope. I agree the Championship is a far better experience as a supporter though
Yes and no - VAR is total shyte - who wants to wait 5 minutes before celebrating a goal? Obviously there are massive financial gains for getting to the PL, but who wants to get hammered every week? I only want us to get there if we can compete. I'm not overly fussed about it - I enjoy the Championship. If promotion happens it happens
After our first two seasons in the PL I can honestly say I loved us being at the top table of English football for the first time in our history BUT, I enjoyed the journey far more than I enjoyed the destination ...
The first half of that first season and the first season up there under Bruce were fantastic, memories that will last forever and be passed down with the generations. If we could do it all again with Acun at the helm it would be fantastic. On the other hand, VAR would be totally ****, as would losing every week. Swings and roundabouts
Now that we have been there, not anymore. 08/09 and 13/14 were superb at the time, but unless something massive happens, we won't top the feeling of those seasons. I don't want to watch us lose more often than not. The Football League has always been a much more enjoyable experience all round.
Can't really agree with that, I think any league we're in, if we're losing more often than not, won't be enjoyable. And if we're going to lose I'd rather lose to say ManC or L'pool than to Rotherham or Stoke.
