V Well our new gaffer first home game. Let’s just hope the two weeks have got his troops fired up for a home win. Boro last game was a home win against Leicester so will have their tails up for this game. City need to start showing some steel at home and definitely need to start scoring goals. I just hope we don’t get the Birmingham situation happen at Ashton Gate and Liam Manning gets of to a good home start.
We are nowhere near as high in the table as Birmingham were, but I take your point. He has had 2 weeks between games to work with most of the squad, which is a good start point. Let’s see what happens. COYR!!
Big game for him needs to show what he apparently is made off. Remember majority of the fan base were happy with Nigel Pearson and where we were.
Back from another week in St Ives and taking my grandson to AG tomorrow. Listened to LM's interviews, he talks a great game and it will be interesting how it goes tomorrow. One thing's for sure, he'll have more quality available than Pearson's last game at Cardiff. It's not this system or that system but the quality/ability of players that win football matches.
They were, but not me. The poor performances, league position, playing players out of position (Weimann in particular, NP ruined him), and his constant falling out with people bored me this season. I could put up with it if we were progressing, but we weren’t, so I think it was the right call in the end.
Yep, the banners will be out!!! It won’t be that it was NP’s team, and signings that were wrong, it will all be on LM. Even though he’s spent 3 years saying everything wrong at the club was a previous manager
Really, and yet after 2.5 years of bang averageness, you honestly think Nige was doing well. You do make I larf…..
Interesting, I didn’t realise that apart from his spells at Leicester, Nige hasn’t really won much has he. It surprised me, as I honestly thought he’d been more successful than he clearly had been.
Remember according to the powers that be-this is the exciting upgrade on Nigel Pearson -let’s hope so.
That will give him the transfer window and hopefully some backing from the board. I just hope it is not back to the same old same. We was in a far better place and we could see the seeds were sprouting. Nige had his two best players taken away and no funds to reinvest-good business that.
This happened before, when Webster and Brownhill were sold for big money, and cheap replacements were brought in. That is down to SL, not the manager’s, and, based on history, he will do it again at some point.
almost time to go and do my Saturday afternoon jobs ....hopefully the team will do theirs! back at around ht!!!!!
