Great result and will admit i jumped on the Dyche out bandwagon too early. However we must win our next 2 games or else we'll be back where we started. But it's great to see we've beaten 3 teams around us recently.

In the after match comments that I heard, every player did a good job, which seemed to be what I listened to.

We have the side now to move us up the table, we have found a method of play that seems to accomodate the abilties of the players, and to start changing it now would be the wrong thing to do.

Must be rich to sit up there..whoever they were!

Pleased they saw one of our most dominating performances this season....and for a whille.

1st half was excellent attack wise and even though we eased off after the break our defence and Hogg made sure Pompey hardly had a sniff apart from a couple of free-kicks which Loach did well with.

Encouraging stuff to build on...our recent home form is very good actually.

Not a bad crowd either TBF considering it wasn't a cheap game (nearly 13k)

The Under 18s had a good win against MK Dons as well so good day all around.

Shame 3CR only really care about the moaning Hatters..

Kitson was a pain in the arse all afternoon..he was their only player to give us problems.

    :)

Good to come away with three points even if it wasn't a very inspiring game. Steady performances from a number of players, though for me the pick were Hodson, Mariappa and Hogg. Portsmouth looked short of confidence though we still needed a bit of fortune to score twice.

I stand corrected, maybe I also ran SD down to early...It was good to see he didn't rush to bring JE back in because he was fit, as much as I like him the midfield looks so more balanced now...all I want now is SL to take control of his area...he still gives me heart failure every time a cross comes over, great save though. Keep up the great work COYH

I am more than happy with the result yesterday and really don't mind when we are in our current situation closing the game down for the second half. However football is supposed to be entertainment and a couple more goals in the second half would have been just that, as well as helping our goal difference.

My question is then, is it fair to the paying public to shut up shop from the start of the second half?

We thoroughly deserved that win!! We dominated the first half, and had a good go at the second half. The ref missed a few things in the box and did not like to let the game flow, but i dont think it affected us too much. In fact, we scored after the first pull on Bauaben.
