The daft thing is James Cleverly has made the whole situation worse by suggesting he said “because he’s a **** MP”. It sounds absolutely nothing like “MP” and the majority of the public aren’t as stupid as they assume. If he had any sense he would have just continued to deny it was him.

Labour lose by-election in London, to one of their own, who dislikes Starmers stance on Israel. I beliebe this is a very isolated incident, and a time based vote. Whether Starmer can hold his party together on a range of issues similar to this is up for debate. I think he is already on borrowed time personally, far too much talk of being a conservative and Thatcher being right. Israel is the first big challenge to the complete and utter authority he wants and it hasnt gone well for him at all. What next I wonder. He needs to lead not direct, in opinion anyway, or he will be a figure head to win an election but who then is subject to internal war and wont last 2 years.
