Jack Stephens back in full training. https://www.southamptonfc.com/en/news/article/stephens-back-in-full-training
Starts over Bedders for me personally. I think at his best he is the better player. But Bednarek has been great the last few games so I agree that he shouldn’t stroll back in
My gut feel is that Russ favours Jack over Bedders because of his work and composure on the ball and it will be interesting to see what happens but nobody should be getting dropped in this current run of form.
Women currently 1-1 with Arsenal. Did a men’s team thing and conceded an equaliser soon after taking the lead. 5 minutes to go
Bigger crowd than the capacity at Dean Court I went, and thought Saints gave a good account of themselves. Arsenal are not just an established WSL side, but one of the better ones and full of internationals. They looked far more composed on the ball but I had feared a bigger gulf in the score line. Shame it was classic Saints in conceding shortly after scoring and in injury time but overall a memorable day for such a new team to the women’s game. Milly Mott my POTM.

**** looks serious. Reports say it was a non impact injury and he was given oxygen. ACL springs to mind straight away.
Our young players are cursed when they go on loan, there have been quite a few that have had serious injuries over the years. Praying it's not that bad because he is quite a prospect.
Tottenham are monitoring the progress of Southampton's 21-year-old Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu. (Football Insider)
Mick Channon 75 years old today. Still up there, alongside MLT, as my favourite all time Saints player. Whereas MLT was the reason for us not being relegated sooner, from the top flight, Mick was also excellent for England, which is why I give them equal billing.
