I fancy us to go on a run of wins, starting off with a 0-2 at Plymouth.

Wouldn't be dropping Ekwah, but that's just my opinion. Needs to get back up to speed after his injury.

Yeah he is. When fit, he's one of the first names on the teamsheet but he cannot get through a season without 3 or 4 injuries. It's a definite worry

    Cirkin

    2021/22 Season - 41 appearances out of possible 59
    2022/23 Season - 28 appearances out of a possible 52
    2023/24 Season - 8 appearances out of a possible 17

Now that doesn't include cup games where he was rested, or times when he was an unused sub (3 times) but it looks to be getting worse not better

Weve just had an international break and he's been able to rest for the last 2 weeks. He picked this injury up in a warm up in a game he was meant to be playing in.

He just cant seem to shake injuries off at all. Ive never known a player be out for so long with the injuries he has. God forbid anything serious ever happens to him

The maddest one was Simms out for like 3 months with a sore toe - that was ridiculous

****ting myself now. Sounds like Bali Mumba has morphed into Leo Messi. Amazing how Plymouth have only won 4 of their 16 games with this unheralded star in their ranks :emoticon-0140-rofl:

I am pleased for the lad, who for some reason was not given much of a chance here.

It wasn't a lack of chances, it was the owner desperate to sell any and all assets to pay the leccy bill (Mumba, Greenwood, Hughil etc etc)

Mate of mine is involved at South Shields and said the few games they had Mumba on loan they could see he was an absolute star, way above their level. Brilliant awareness and speed of thought. Hope the kids goes far, just a shame it's not with us

His best position was an attacking mid-fielder imo, skilful, industrious and with an sharp eye for goal. For some ridiculous reason we insisted on playing him as a full back. I fully agree with your mates verdict and think his best days are still to come, hopefully after Saturday . <laugh>

Since he has been at Argyle Bali Mumba has been loved by the faithful here and he has shown his appreciation by playing with a smile and knowing that even if he makes a mistake he will be forgiven for it. He absolutely loves it here and it shows. Last season he ripped a lot of teams apart for most of the games. He wasn't the only star but he definately was one of them. He is desperate to please and even though this season he hasn't shone quite as brightly he still makes you sit up and notice at times in every game. I agree with the assessment above about defending. He isn't really one and is much more at home going forward. Has pace to spare and if he is on it then is very hard to defend against. He will develope further and we have no doubt he will go on to higher things than with us.

Good to hear Bali’s doing well there. He looked like a really talented player from the flashes I saw when he was here. Seemed to have plenty about him as well - he sat in the manager’s chair one time (Jack Ross) and started doing the post match interview with the press for a laugh. Impressive for a young lad!

Perhaps I'm biased, because we share an age and mentality, but I rate that presser as 10/10 ...

... I was confident before that but now convinced only the referee can stop us winning.

He really appreciates the travelling support, excellent!
