Brexit has broken UK politics, and is the single biggest reason we have what we have today, with neither major party being one anyone sane would vote for. In an alternate universe Cameron is still PM. Probably in most alternate universes.
Cleverly ain't clever by name... https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/james-cleverly-stockton-north-****hole-b2451844.html Awful
Video helpfully bleeps out the entire sentence, so you can't even tell what was said, let alone who said it. Can we just confirm we're doing guilty until proven innocent, and even then still a bit guilty, on things MPs may have said in parliament?
Says 'I can't remember saying it' How can someone with such a terrible short term memory be Home Secretary ... ... I fully expect him to show up in the House without his trousers. He's a snide little coward who has form for failing to stand up for what he thinks. "Charlie Stayt: Did you describe the Rwanda system as batshit... is that true? James Cleverly: That was a claim made of me... Charlie Stayt: Did you say that word? James Cleverly: I certainly don't remember saying anything like that."
They think everywhere North of Watford is a ****hole, next step will not be "levelling up", it will be the "levelling" of "Northern" towns... With bulldozers
this whole incident is what is wrong with politics and politicians 'They don't own it'. If Cleverley had stood up and said "yes I did say that and to be fair your constituency is a bit of a ****hole" there would be uproar but if he owned it and followed it up with 'My job and the job of my government is to make your constituency better to help provide the jobs and education needed to improve the area and help your constituents, reduce crime, increase social awareness, and support the local NHS and mental health authorities, we will support you in tackling the problems that are prevalent in the area. Bit of a pipe dream I know but would at least earn my respect for his honesty, trouble is he would be harangued by his own party and then the circle of self gratification would begin again. Politicians should be trying to make the country better not squabbling with each other and point scoring but I guess that is our system
They're so openly dreadful that I'm seriously starting to believe they know they've put the country in a mess and don't want the job of clearing it up. Cleverley is surely unlikeable to anyone but himself and clearly capable of being rude about Stockton. Of course he's wrong.
We're going to disagree here then, I can count the times I've been to Stockton on one hand, but I was unimpressed each time. The place looked like a ****ole. Locals can get offended or demand it is improved, it's that simple.
That's not the point mate, it's not his place to be making comments like that. If that's how he feels he shouldn't be Home Secretary imo.
Look around man, everything is in decay, we need politicians who will actually say what needs to be said, say cünt, say nönce, say the unsayable, not simply tow the party line. You're actively supporting a culture of Starmerism whether you realise it or not.
The next generation of politicians will win and lose on their own volitions, not by namby pamby coddeling and the country will be better for it.
I said the magic word to the magic man, he got very angry and resorted to pugalism. I won and said the magic word several more times as he lay snoring. I live streamed it all.
You said I was brainwashed so I repeated it back to see what your response would be ... ... totally predictable tbh.
