One thing very clear to me from the beginning was they didn't care about the hostages, and I've repeated that several times. Netanyahu was more interested in gaining as much ground as possible in Gaza than anything else. Now he's achieved his aim including getting into Shifa hospital, now he wants to talk hostages. Hamas don't trust him and it's no surprise. I'm not convinced the ceasehire will hold, because once Netanyahu does that, Biden will not want him to recommence his campaign, so it's now catch 22 for Netanyahu, hostage negotiations, ceasefire....but he really wants to cause hell. Which way will the scales tip I wonder. I think Netty is a bit of warmonger, so all bets are off for me.
The US will support Israel no matter what. Biden has been a massive, vocal supporter of Israel since he was a young just started in politics. Have you seen how stubborn some of the old boys on this site are? No way will Biden bend. Netanyahu just needs to keep pushing the narrative around Israel that they killed over a thousand Israelis and are evil scum and people will want the war to continue. The entire Israeli parliament almost supports him.
Ya think? ... you can kill every Hamas militant - but, unless you address the root cause, they will just be replaced by even greater numbers of disaffected arabs 'Palestinians' willing to take up arms ...
Lol All they want to do is blow the ****ing place up, displace the population and make themselves regionally stronger. They need 6 months. Done, dusted.
I've posted before that there is no way there would be a ceasefire, even for a day. Because once you go over a day with a ceasefire, diplomatically there's a lot of pressure not to restart the fighting and it becomes very difficult to justify starting the bombings again. So to circumvent this, the devil is in the detail. There will indeed be a ceasefire in southern Gaza, but there will only be a ceasefire between 10am -4pm in the north.
IDF now arresting doctors for saving lives. What the fck is wrong with these ****s? Yeh... not stasi at all.
