That Argie was riding his back basically. Ref bottled it, Argentine manager on the sidelines is an embarrassment. Leaves his technical area to demand a card.
****ing hilarious. Although at least that means he got an early exit and will be nice and fresh on Saturday.
He does have a habit of taking the law into his own hands and being a bit of a hothead. It’s annoying when someone fouls you like that and ref doesn’t give it but there was a clear intention by Joelinton to push the guy off which he can’t do. Deserved red but probably good for us as assume he will be suspended for next games.
Proper hate how Julian Nagelsmann dresses like a Google exec or something on the sidelines. All he's missing is a mocha latte Sunday pumpkin spice from Starbucks tbh
It was a red. The issue for me was that the referee could have avoided that issue by pulling up their player for a foul and that way Joelinton wouldn’t have had a need to react. Almost the same with the Bruno incident at Arsenal. Bruno should have seen red but again that issue would have not come about if it wasn’t for the ref not sending off Havertz
Don’t agree. Yes, BJ pushes the Argentinian off but it’s in the chest (21 seconds) and not in the face. He doesn’t strike him as opposed to pushes him. The referee fell for the old ‘simulation’ (cheating) ploy. It might have been a yellow but no way should it have been a red unless it was actually an under 5’s game for people suffering from haphephobia.
A bit of a push just isn't a red card simple as that .. happens all the time and even off the ball its a standard yellow. It was a foul on Joelinton
