If Saints were a song then they'd once again be nestled somewhere between D:Ream's 'Things Can Only Get Better!' and Simon & Garfunkel's 'The Sound of Silence'.... Yes, it's been another week of back-to-back defeats, defensive frailties and a continued waning of overall confidence (for players and fans alike!) TSP244 attempts to pick through the bones of those Ipswich and Boro games, while looking ahead to the visit of Leeds (and inevitable Joel Piroe goalscoring exhibition...) Just listened to it on the Dog walk. Lovely hearing from him and great to see he is over his struggles. I have been lucky enough to meet him on numerous occasions as we used to sponsor him and he is a top bloke and so kind and down to earth. Great memory of him away at Spurs, he didn't know I was there, but he saw us by the bus amongst about 100 fans as they were getting on it. He came over to say hi and then said to my then 15 year old daughter that he remembered that I had told him that James Beattie was her favourite and he proceeded to get James off the bus and brought him over to my daughter to make her day.
