One game at time and all that, but I`ve been fantasizing about Saints being confirmed promoted versus our fishy friends. We are 8 points and 12 goals clear of 3rd place after a third of the season. After we play them, there will be only 15 points up for grabs. Imagine the scenes - like Walsall last season, only better. Is it possible, or do I need psychiatric help ?
What would happen. Celebration in the middle of the pitch towards the tunnel? Or in front of the Pompey fans? Too early, don't get hopes up until March!
Woah there! Let's worry about Bristol City game first, and then the other 22 games in between now and then. I remember similar chat last year saying we should be confirming winning the League away to Brighton, as it was we had to 13 of the last 15 games to finish 2nd.
Agreed, its a long shot. Mind you, Brighton had a few games left when they clinched promotion last year - can`t remember how many.
That would be a nightmare for Hampshire police because if Saints get promoted against Pompey they will have to prevent a pitch invasion which will be nigh on impossible!
Lapras, there would be a few idiots that would do that, I am not one of them! I'm the kind of person that wants to take it one game at a time That way I could cope with possible disappointment...!
I don't think any saints fan can be accused of not being able to cope with disapppointment. One only needs to think of Wright-phillips, Euell and Germaine Wright coming onto the pitch with a saints shirt on. Actually don't remember, those were bad times and should be erased from history.
Would love Barnard to score against pompey. He's the kind of player who'd run the length of the pitch to do a kneeslide infront of their fans.
Fair enough, didn't think you would I thought you were referring to the players tbh. That would be really pathetic to be honest (no offense). Like when Adebeyor did it in front of the Arsenal fans.

Like when Adebeyor did it in front of the Arsenal fans. Adebeyor was an ex gunner...Barnard's never been a skate????
There was talk a while back that that would be considered a sending off offence. Trying to incite the opposition fans or something of that kind. Perhaps it should be seriously considered in view of the rising attitude of some fans to fighting at matches. The bad behaviour is beginning to creep in again and we really do not want to go back to the seventies do we. There are a few hundred thousand people from that era that regret there stupid action even today. Although some are still quit embittered even today....crazy, crazy time.
Hence why I said like not exactly like. Either way it would still be pathetic, it's like you're more interested in winding up the opposition than celebrating with your own team/fans.
