I thought pen at first but Kane turned his left foot in to make sure the goalie connected with it. One pundit said clever play. If a furriner had done it no doubt it would have earned a different description.
[QUOTE="Qatartiger Cambridgetiger, post: 17128539, member: 1002582 So have I and I still have the same opinion that Kane defo knew what he was doing, he put his left foot into the keeper, he was trying to steal a pen. If he did not do that the keeper would probably have made contact with him and he should have got the pen. He cheated imo.
Against my better judgement, I decided to watch the second half. Still ****e. Malta actually look decent and are going for it but this is woeful and cack viewing. I’m watching it cause there’s **** all else on but there’s a tin of paint in the garage so I might get that and watch it dry on my wall.
Well after 75 mins of absolute fkn shyte looks like we've finally woke up, 3-0 and more to come Edit fkn VAR ... 2-0 !!!
I've never been a fan of offsides being awarded because a player is in the keeper's eyeline rather than actually playing the ball, but when the keeper doesn't even appeal for it, how can you possibly argue that he was distracted or unsighted? Can understand them not reviewing the penalty since Kane did initiate and exaggerate the contact, but it's totally bizarre to me to deem it necessary to intervene on that goal. VAR at its worst.
