Do like this part of Everton’s statement though

In other words, we’ll keep an eye on what punishment chelsea and city are given as if it’s not proportionate we’ll be asking questions.

The Club will also monitor with great interest the decisions made in any other cases concerning the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules.

Expulsion and titles stripped is the only proportionate response possible given how minor evertons losses were compared to their YEARS of blatant cheating.

    Table today:

    14 Forest P12 3 4 5 GD -4 Points 13
    15 Fulham P12 3 3 6 GD-12 Points 12
    16 Bournemouth P12 2 3 7 GD -16 points 9
    17 Luton P12 1 23 8 GD -12 points 6
    18 Sheff Utd P12 1 2 9 GD -21 Points 6
    19 Everton P12 4 2 6 GD -3 Points 4*
    20 Burnely P12 1 1 10 GD-21 Points 4

If i were everton i'd be EXTREMELY confident of getting the 16th in the table very quickly.

I'd be sure that if they need to on appeal they'd get it halves by CAS etc. In effect is "first offense" ? that is appealable.

Next games: Sheff Utd v Bournemouth, Burnley v west sham, Luton v palace, Neverton v Man utd.

Everton to be out of the bottom 3 by end of November irrespective of deduction. (aka beat utd)

Seeing lots saying they were only about 120m and threshold is 105 over 3 years.

but I’m also sure I read before they were about 300m losses over 3 years and were just blaming covid for that cos couldn’t sell players

Outrageous. City and Chelsea have pissed on FFP for a decade. Doubtless Newcastle will follow suit. They should have been fined £100m and handed a 2-year transfer ban - that would probably seen them relegated anyway within a season or two. But it would have been fairer as their transgressions have been off -pitch, then so should their punishment.

I'd love to see the ****e relegated, but not like this. And I think Carra is right to point out that 6 teams tried to leave the Prem but received no sanctions at all. It stinks - Everton deserve harsh punishment - but off the pitch. And I ask the question AGAIN - how were Chelsea allowed to write off a £1.5bn loan from Abramovich, just because it was Abramovich? Who in the FA took backhanders for that? And who, in the CAS took bungs to overturn Uefa's attempted sanctions on City?

I feel like Colin from Portsmouth on this issue, I do. :emoticon-0121-angry

The 6 teams that tried to leave were punished so not sure that’s an argument - just not with points deductions.

Tbh a transfer ban would prob do Everton good as means they can’t sign anymore **** players like maupay for 15m or iwobi for 30m

Carragher couldn't have been more wrong actually because no teams tried to leave the PL. The Super League was to run alongside the other domestic leagues.

some of it was stadium so irrelevant for ffp (not for any rational business but anyway)

they were over on the items that go to ffp and demonstrably so.

they deserve everything they get as year 3 they spend that money they didn't have and k ew they didn't have.

    they'll be fine.

they could have had a 20 point deduction and survived.

A precedent has been set now. It is still down to each panel how they punish the clubs though. For instance, 3 different independent individuals could come to a different conclusion. There is an explanation of why Everton has received a points deduction rather than a fine but no explanation as to how they came to 10 points.

I feel like it's a bit harsh on Everton, tbh - given how much certain others have been getting away with for years.
Perhaps it's just a signal from the PL to City to buy some bigger brown envelopes.

I agree with you, but Everton seems to be lucky to be playing in the Premier League.
