Have to say, I, for one, was banging on and on about getting Gvardiol, especially when it transpired we were prepared to blow £111m on Caicedo. Well, and I've seen four or five City games so far this season, no - just no. Not at £87m, FFS. Decent CB, and will get better, but I was expecting a new Virgil or Vidic or Lawrenson for that dosh. And yeah, as with Amrabat and Fernandes, I think I got carried away with the WC. Hmm, it's almost as if our recruitment team knows more than me.
To be fair to him he’s having to play as a left back in this weird formation pep is using. As a full time CB the guy has huge potential and I’m sure will be a quality signing for them. Can’t really judged him after 10 games
but we can judge caicedo I do not think Gvardiol suits a lcb in peps system any more than knoate suits it in klopps madness. are did well doing it but in reality city missed stones massively last night. walker dias ake stones rodri is massively different proposition to gvardiol as a big man at lcb/lb amd akanji pushed to cm in a role less familiar to him
I could guess what it is if I could be arsed looking at the headlines for each game - which I'm sure is all he does. A few defenders scored so I'm guessing he could make up a team of 10 goalscorers and a keeper.
I love Ali of course - but he only had to make one save of note that I remember. There must have been someone else who was a bit busier?
Not being picky, but two good'uns - the save from Mebuona (sp) when he was through in the first half (when it was 0-0 - bloody vital that), and a cracking save from a header when we were 3-0 up but there was still about 10 mins left, so could have been dicey last 10 minutes had it not gone in. Hope Virgil was in that team too, especially for one amazing, Virgil @2019/20 clearance he pulled off 3 yards from goal.
Ok two - but my point still stands, which is that Garth picks according to game summary and doesn't watch them all. Ten games is a lot to watch over a long weekend, so I'm not surprised - I just think it's a joke that he get paid for assembling a team without doing so. The whole exercise is a pointless bit of fluff. And no - Virgil wasn't in it because he didn't score a goal, which is Garth's main criterion for inclusion.

Alisson snub to end after injury withdrawal – with doubt for Man City vs. Liverpool Alisson snub to end after injury withdrawal - with doubt for Man City vs. Liverpool - Liverpool FC - This Is Anfield
Ederson has faked that injury imo on Pepe's go ahead. he will be absolutely fine for our game. Its the only game than finishes on Wednesday night as well. he could play on no bother including taking kicks after going down faking one. no chance he is out against us.
imo nothing will happen to any of these. Everton, its just a silly breach based on trying it on. they need their wrist slapped thats all. whatever they survive by is one point more than the points deduction. simple. city: imo they've done worse than juve did in Italy so nothing less than explusion is the right thing but again I fully expect nothing to be done for months if not years and then some fudge to be done. chelsea. again who knows. it's too long ago for uefa to get into it so I assume again the prem will shrug and tut tut.
My concern, and I am biased as a Chelsea fan, is that, given that Boehly and Co bought this **** to the attention of the PL when they took over, is if they are then punished as a result of it, it will deter other clubs coming forward to bring shady **** from previous owners and board members to light. Seems a little unfair that the rules dont make distinctions on whether anyone at the club currently was involved in any of that ****. If Roman were still in charge i'd say deduct away. But rules is rules I guess.
Also absolutely fuking hates Liverpool and anyone who plays for us. Lol I mean bbc footy coverage is utter dogshit anyway inc motd. Stopped paying towards that **** Corp years back anyway and i suggest the same for everyone.
