First proper rumour of the window ? We are being linked with a bid for JCH who is in the final year of his contract with Peterborough. Would be a good signing if we can get him and afford his wages. He and Alfie would be a formidable strike partnership at this level. Wouldn’t solve all our problems of course, but it would be a start. Biggest problem though is that others, including Wrexham are rumoured to be interested. Could we outbid Wrexham ? Probably not. Would JCH drop to L2 for 5 months ? Assuming the season plods along and/or Appleton gets the chop I imagine the money men will want answers, they only have to look at our table and the balance sheets.
They can’t have it both ways. We either reduce our losses and get to break even or we have success on the pitch and get promoted. They can have one or the other, but not both. If they believed the lies that they could have both, then more fool them.
